Stop all meds
Won’t having the drugs out of your body and your
testosterone
back at least give you a feeling that you are more yourself? Quality of life should enter into the equation? Or am I way off on this? We both know he’s not going to make it with his diagnosis just trying to give him some normalcy.

Almost a year ago, they started to take
testosterone
. (I'm just going to call them X on here.) I'm very proud of them for taking the steps to be themselves, and to start their transition. Anyways, if you aren't familiar with
testosterone
, there are symptoms to go along with the transition.

Why am I still putting on weight?
I take natural HRT (including
testosterone
) and last hormone blood tests were good too. I also take vitamin D with K2, B12, low dose iron, thyro complex which has a few things in it, and omega 3 & astaxanthin.

Metformin and Androgen Receptor-Axis-Targeted (ARAT) Agents Induce Two PARP-1-Dependent Cell Death Pathways in Androgen-Sensitive PCa Cells.
However, the disease eventually progresses within two years of ADT in most patients despite castrate levels of serum
testosterone
, resulting in castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Such progression is often due to the restoration of androgen-AR signaling under androgen deprived conditions.

The case of Guy Tenenbaum
He still has his prostate intact, but he did get his testicles removed surgically shortly after stopping Zitiga because his doctor told him that this would lower his
testosterone
and maybe help him survive a little longer. He did not mind doing so because he thought he was going to die anyway.

Literally loosing my mind, need to connect with others to feel slightly normal..
I’m not longer on contraception but I’m on progesterone to balance my hormones, as I produce too much
testosterone
and oestrogen.

Marriage
He has viagra and he takes
testosterone
shots every two weeks. I wish I could say it fixed our sex life and our marriage but it hasn't. We worked really hard for a couple months after everything that happened and I was hopeful. But after a few months, things just kind went back like they were.

Falling PSA but rising Testosterone
My husband, Steve (Stevana on this site), has had his PSA and
testosterone
checked every 3 weeks during his chemo and immunotherapy treatments. Ever since he started on Firmagon his PSA has gone down and as of December 23rd it is .08.

forthcoming telephone consultation with gp concerning blood test results
the endo's recommendations, and he agreed. in the event he chose the endo in our local hospital who decided that because my T4 and TSH were normal i didn't have a problem and then went on to ignore my symptoms and recommend muscle biopsies to chase a supposed nerve problem. he also asked for serum

Where to purchase micronised DHEA
The consultant said that they’d be including
testosterone
gel in this cycle which she says basically does the same thing as DHEA. However, from what I’ve read I’m not convinced that is the case. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge to add please? Thank you

Countering the side effects of low testosterone/ADT
My husband was on firmagon for 18 months and we're taking a break. He's been off of it for over 8 months. He still feels awful some days... and I know from from all your feedback that it's part of the deal. Everyone recommends excercise, and he does that.... both strength training and cardio, but many

Pregnenolone - things to look out for
I’ve just started using pregnenolone to address low
testosterone
and progesterone issues. Having just had one of my “moments” (sudden anxiety, shakes, cold, tiredness, racing heart), it’s spurred me into posting what I had forgotten to weeks ago! Is there anything I should look out for?

Might be PCOS?
My results came back normal except I had a slightly higher than normal level of
testosterone
- I then had an ultrasound (as the doctor wasn’t sure why my period wasn’t coming back), and they found it was mostly normal apart from these tiny cysts on my ovaries.

Asthma combined with other conditions?
Thyroid/cholesterol and HBa1c all fine but GFR 57 (usually 66 to late 70's), Creatine high, Hormones LH and FSH sky high, other tests hormonal indicated
testosterone
high. Links both Menopause and PCOS. Most worrying was both Haemoglobin readings were low (takes oxygen through the blood).

Those with metastatic cancer — meaning the cancer has spread from the initial tumor site to other parts of the body — may need even more intense therapy, including removal of the testicles,
testosterone
-blocking therapy and chemotherapy.
