I was diagnosed with ibs but also being referred for severe sleep apnea which apparently can cause ibs due to stress on the body.. my testosterone is also low.. due to OSA.. my question is would very low testosterone naturally cause higher levels of estrogen ? Sorry its not a ibs question, just wondering if anyone here knew. Cheers

Hi ktan49, Im no expert but I'm not sure there is a direct link with low testosterone/high oestrogen. Might be worth asking for s blood test to find out how your hormone levels are doing? 💛
I didn't expect an answer but thought I'd try my luck anyway hehe. Struggling so bad with IBS pain .. weird thing is my gastro said my calprotectin is raised to 112ug but was told this can happen with IBS? feel like crap but I guess this is more down to my untreated sleep apnea ! Was also told I don't have IBD
I have a number of areas of diverticular which get inflamed and makes me feel really ill but I'm also in perimenopause so I am all over the place between digestive problems, sweats, anxiety all affect my digestion 😟
