In response to your question about my experience with Lupron, it has been okay. I was on it for a short time frame of half a year. It has been three months since my treatment ended. Basically, the only side effects have been hot flashes. I am still getting them but I’m told it can take a long time for my body to adjust back to normal partly because the incremental return of testosterone. For some reason, I get the hot flashes frequently throughout the day while other men sometimes get them only a few times. I’m okay with them and do not want to take additional medication for hot flashes. I sure do look forward to not getting them.
I did choose the 3-month at a time injection form of Lupron over daily pills of Orgovyx. However, that decision was made for convenience. I’ll never know if I would have gotten the same frequency of hot flashes with Orgovyx.
Lastly and most importantly, Lupron was administered to me as part of radiation treatments. I have an upcoming PSA test in April which should inform me better as to the success of my combined treatment plan. If there is anything else I can help with, please let me know.
Mbnm Dutasteride "LOWERS YOUR PSA " it does not increase it .
I am 85 and have been on Dutasteride for 5 plus years . Therefore I have to DOUBLE MY LAB RESULT PSA . If my LAB PSA is 8.4 my TRUE PSA is 16.8 .
