Synarel and HRT

Hi all

Just wondering how much HRT people take alongside Synarel.

My gynaecologist has prescribed 2 x pumps of oestrogel and 2 x 100 utrogestan everyday.

Is this what others are on?

also, doesn’t anyone take testosterone on it?

My HRT regime used to include testosterone but not sure I should continue it having started Synarel.

I’d say that sounds a bit off. Balance. 2 pumps of gel usually only need one utrogestan.

Testosterone is not necessary and if you have enough in your system then it gets turned into oestrogen and you need to be careful of too much oestrogen.

Did they try you on tibolone first? That’s lowest dose than is often the first try. But it doesn’t work for everyone. It wasn’t any good for me. And am now on 2 pumps oestrogen and 100mg utrogestan. But I’m in surgical menopause now.
