Awful mouth sores, lip blister from Imbruvica
Some nice people here yesterday suggested I try selenium and organic oil of oregano (on toothpaste while brushing) for my painful tongue sores and lip blister. I bought both and hope they work asap. Also hoping the Meloxicam I started taking on Friday kicks in soon. This pain is awful. Rinsing with baking

Cured from IBS-like diarrhea after Prednisone. Gastroenterologist doesn't think so.
Hello. I suffer from IBS-like diarrhea. A few years back, I went to the doctor for something unrelated to my digestion and was prescribed Prednisone among other meds. Within 2 days of starting the meds, my IBS-like diarrhea disappeared. I was essentially cured. So I went back to eating Mexican food,

Is it OK to take Tylenol?
The first nephrologist I saw, discontinued meloxicam abruptly. He said I could take all the Tylenol I wanted. I googled Tylenol and some of the articles said acetaminophen could cause kidney damage. I usually take one 500 mg. tablet unless I am in dire pain and then I take two. I also take 81 mg.

Nephrologist Visit Today - Not Good
I went to the nephrologist and I do not know a thing. He would not comment about my prognosis until he receives results of my US's and labs. I showed him my US report from 2014 where it showed cortical thinning. He did say my kidneys are shrinking, although the report did not reveal the size. I asked

ACE Inhibitors can cause a decrease in kidney function with Cox 2 Inhibitors
I stopped taking Meloxicam a couple of weeks ago. From searching the web, I read that some doctors prescribe ACE inhibitors (lisopril, quinapril, etc) for CKD. I used a drug interaction checker and it is recommended to not take an ACE Inhibitor along with a Cox 2 Inhibitor (Meloxicam, Celebrex, etc

My plan for Meloxicam
I have been off of Meloxicam for a little over a week and I can barely walk from the pain in my feet. Today, was the first day we went to a mall since I have not been taking it. I called the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist if I could only take one meloxicam when I needed to walk a lot like today.

Does anyone here take an NSAID or Cox 2 Inhibitor?
I take 15 mg of meloxicam daily. I am Stage 3a (newly diagnosed) and my doctor said it is OK to take. I called a pharmacist and she confirmed this. I stopped taking it for a week on my own and I could barely walk. I need to exercise and get moving, but I can't unless I take meloxicam. I am thinking

PMR or ARTHRITIS
I am a 53-year-old female. I started with stiffness in the hips and shoulders/upper arms in October 2017. With an ESR of 36 and CRP of 23.8 the doctor thought it could be PMR and started me on 20 mg of prednisone. It did not provide immediate relief but after about a week it helped. I was referred to

Hi All, I am currently on Meloxicam and Sulfasalazine, but rheumy wants me off meloxicam and I will be starting on Leflunomide in a couple of days. Hoping anyone on this or has been on it could share their experience and any side effects with me. Thanks.

Why doesnāt t3 work for me
I have always known I was hypothyroid, finally dr M. checked my labs, my Rt3 was 21 and free t3 was 3.4. Free t4 was 0.90. I have the other lab values if needed. My a1c , and I have never been diagnosed as a diabetic.... was 5.4. So I was prescribed cytomel 5 mcg and metformin 500er twice a day.

Meloxicam to Help with Tapering
when my wife's prednisone taper from 12mg to 11mg became too painful after 2+ weeks, she went back to 12mg. In her next rheumatologist appointment, she was asked to toggle daily between 12 and 11, but was prescribed a daily dose of Meloxicam (7.5mg) to be taken with her prednisone dose. This was done
