headaches #4
Back to tension headaches! I got to see my neurologist on Monday. He felt around, listened to what my other Drs had said, then said it’s definitely not migraines. He believes they are tension headaches due to spasms, not spasticity in my neck and shoulders. He told me to stop taking amitripaline,

meloxicam?
Hello I’ve been prescribed meloxicam to help with pain in my feet and ankles which is rendering me virtually disabled - I am wondering if this drug is known to affect restless legs ( mine are still severe despite being on buprenorphine and pregabalin…) I have also been prescribed omeprazole to help

Pain pills
So. IV had fibromyalgia since Oct 2021 after an accident at work left me with it,took forever to diagnose blah blah. At that time I was already long awaiting a hip replacement which ground away and was sufficient agony without all this, IV had every tablet going, the celex didn't help a thing, duloxetine

Meloxicam -any positive experiences?
Hi all. Recently saw rheumatologist for ultrasound on very painful hands and feet and to our surprise - his and mine - there’s now very little, if any, inflammation in either. Very pleased but still very painful! The Filgotinib I’ve been on for the past seven months is obviously working but the consensus

Side Effects Damaging Kidneys and Liver
Hi All, I am in Florida, USA. I am a 70 year old female, diagnosed with RA in 2021. I have been on Meloxicam, Methotrexate, Sulfasalazine, and most recently Leflunomide, as well as Prednisone. None of the meds put me into remission. At best I had a 70% reduction in symptoms. I was taken off Methotrexate

Hi Im devastated to be joining another new board. I have Hashimotos which is well controlled, but over the last 6 months or so ive had 3 flare ups which now point to RA. Firstly my hip, woke up with a bit of a sore hip and over the next 24 hours it developed into intense pain. I managed with ibroprofen

Omeprazole and Meloxicam
A m sure that lots of us are prescribed Meloxicam and a PPI to protect stomach, in my case Omeprazole. I was just wondering if the timing of the drugs matters. I usually take Omeprazole first thing and Meloxicam with evening meal, although never given any advice on how to take it. Just wondered if that

edoxaban and topical diclofenic gel?
I’m in miserable levels of pain after a hip replacement 6 weeks ago. Before I had my surgery the pain was well managed by meloxicam and amitriptyline but then I had my first episode of AFib and they thought it may have been triggered by those drugs. So I was started on the holy grail of Bisoprolol,

What if I have normal ESR and CRP?
Hi everyone, I need a confirmation that I can still have PMR even if I have normal ESR and CRP levels. My rheumy is confused and now wants to put me on meloxicam, but I don't think there's a need for that. Specifically, I have never had elevated ESR, even before the pred when I went to the emergency

Methotrexate and Meloxicam
I have been on methotrexate for a long long time (now injected), probably 20 years and also anti inflammatory Meloxicam for as long as I can remember. However today my GP surgery called me to do a medication review and said I shouldn't be taking the 2 together as it wasn't safe. I take the Meloxicam

High Alkaline Phosphatase and knee/bone pain side effects with Venetoclax/Obinituzumab
Hi folks My question is about side effects with Venetoclax and Obinituzumab. I wonder if anyone out there has any insights. I'm 66, was diagnosed in July 2020. Watch & wait until July 2022. Started Venetoclax and Obinituzumab in New York at Sloan Kettering. I’ve completed the Obinituzumab, and

Meloxicam or Arcoxia?
Hi, my GP has suggested I try Meloxicam instead of my consultant-prescribed 60mg Arcoxia/Etoricoxib, because even with Omeprazole my tummy feels sore after 3 consecutive days on Arcoxia so I have to pause pain relief. When I was first prescribed Arcoxia 8 years ago on diagnosis of PSA and spondylitis

Just prescribed Meloxicam by my GP for joint pain and headaches.
I take Eliquis and Amiodarone for my Afib and was wondering if anyone on here has taken Meloxicam while being treated for Afib. I've read a lot of conflicting feedback concerning the success/drawbacks of NSAIDs for people currently on an Afib regimen. Thanks for reading.

5 years with PMR already
Hi all! I am not new to PMR and had it for 5 years already. My doctor said in the beginning it would be 2 years max! :-( I am now on 4 mg of pred and it feels like I am having a flare again. During all these years I tried to lower prednisone and my lowest point is 3. Never could get below

NSAIDS anyone ?
When I was diagnosed with RA in 1989 , along with other medication , I was given diclofenac as a NSAID . This was later changed to Meloxicam by my rheumatologist . Which I took daily until this year . Fast forward to May 2021 and I tripped on a step in the house and fell heavily onto my left hip

Went from Psoriatic arthritis to fibromyalgia to osteoarthritis
Hello everyone. It’s been awhile since I’ve used this account. I was previously diagnosed with endometriosis. After two surgeries I’m mostly symptom free. Then found out I also have hemochromatosis. Psoriasis runs in the family as well as arthritis but no one I know of has gone to a specialist.

Advice please Meloxicam 15mg
Hi everyone, is or has anyone any experience with Meloxicam ? My GP is asking me to try this anti-inflammatory drug. I've not heard of it before. If anyone has got any insight I'd really appreciate it if you could share your experience and thoughts. Thank you.
