My plan for Meloxicam

I have been off of Meloxicam for a little over a week and I can barely walk from the pain in my feet. Today, was the first day we went to a mall since I have not been taking it. I called the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist if I could only take one meloxicam when I needed to walk a lot like today. I was in heaven! I can't believe the difference with or without. So, my plan is to only take one when I know I will be walking a lot. As far as walking for exercise, I'm screwed. I can't ride a bike because of problems with my knees. My friend who just found out her GFR was 28 because her doctor did not tell her either, cut her meloxicam from 15 mg per day to 7.5 mg per day. I am not going to take it unless I know I have to walk a long distance.
