Alternative to crutches?
When I had crutches for two weeks in February I gave myself
tendonitis
in both wrists and sesamoiditis in both thumbs. Still being treated for these! What could I use instead of crutches if I have to go ahead with the operation? A wheelchair just wouldn't be practical at home.

She's back
I had to stop for six full weeks because of achilles
tendonitis
. But, had my first run back today. Picked up where I left off with the idea to go backwards if the runs were too tough. So, W3R1 today - went just fine.

How do you get over the fact that pain in one place leads to pain in another place?
If I have surgery to correct the
tendonitis
in any of these places will I get pain elsewhere? If I use forearm crutches will I get elbow or shoulder problems? If I use a wheelchair will I get back or shoulder problems? It's so depressing.

Can De Quervan's release (tendonitis operation) be done at the same time as sesamoidectomy? (Hand not foot)
I have both on one hand, and just
tendonitis
on the other. (All from using crutches for a few weeks in February!) Will the surgeon do both operations at once on one hand? He has said he wants to do both De Quervan's releases at once.

Swollen Feet and Ankles
I have put my question somewhere else - am not familiar with the new system as yet. I am on Dilzem XL capsules and they certainly have improved my breathing but I really have very swollen feet and ankles. The leaflet inside the box says one in ten people suffer with swollen feet whilst taking this

Bridge-to-10K: Week 6 Run 1 (Back In the Game)
Hi all! *waves* It's been awhile, but I'm back now. When last I was active on this forum, I was working my way through the Bridge-to-10K programme. I started it on New Year's Day, with intent of finishing in early February. It was all going well into Week 4 (of 6)... until a torn muscle in my

Is it old age or is it PMR?
I know that there's a tendency to attribute all aches and pains to PMR, and I certainly had a few before its onset, but I never had this
tendonitis
. My Achilles tendons are swollen and sore.

How did i get here
I am in need of a moan, I have worked since I left school at 16. I only had a break to bring up my children to school age then went back to work part time. In 2007 I was diagnosed with RA carried on working. Then in 2010 I had an accident which resulted in a broken hip and wrist and MRSA. A year

Feeling weary & just having a moan - no, a rant!
I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, bursitis,
tendonitis
, etc now carpel tunnel as well but nerve conduction tests show it's not due to a trapped nerve, so more investigations and NOW my legs have been swollen like balloons for two weeks, from below the knee.

New to RA, who to listen to?
She just looks at me and says it is due to osteo arthritis, and or
tendonitis
, and there is nothing much she can do about it. She did not want to prescribe any anti inflammatories as I have high blood pressure. So I didn't go to her as things got worse.

Ankle pain
Well I've had a bizarre thing happen. I was tidying my daughters toys on my knees when my ankle cluncked and felt like it needed to click back but wouldn't. The pain was awful and reduced me to tears and frightened my daughter. I was home alone so I managed to get her back in bed-all the time still on

Limited mobility/tendon issues. . . am I alone?
I have since injured my knee and have had an orthopedic surgeon tell me it's
tendonitis
, while my physical therapist thinks it's a torn meniscus. Honestly, the tear seems more likely based on what I've read, but the surgeon (who gave me a 1 minute exam) is convinced it's
tendonitis

Thumb spica splints working!
He says the pain in my wrists may be
tendonitis
and synovitis. The splints are working after only 3 days. It's so great not to wake up in pain! Anyone who has unexplained wrist pain-try them!

Change of medication
Well I have been on verapamil since last weekend and have been very tired, had a hot flushed face, swollen ankles and Achilles
tendonitis
and feel about twenty years older. I visited my GP today and he said to stop taking it straight away and then go back on to the bisoprolol.
