I run REALLY slowly and although I have long legs i have a short stride so yesterday i did a trial trying to lengthen my stride ( i have little hope getting any faster at present due to being breathless & exhausted) this felt fine, almost easier than my usual technique but today I've had terrible ankle pain, i always stretch well as im worried about getting injured, any Advice?

When you were striking the ground were your feet in front of you (so you were "overstriding") or under your hips?

I am having ankle pain in just getting started. I didn't get a lot of others with similar here. Do a search of achilles tendonitis and see if you get helpful advice that way. I assured myself that this was what I was dealing with and not NECESSARILY a brewing injury - got a support wrap and heel cushions and hope to be back at it tomorrow.
