Injury woes
So I am up to week 5 run 3 but not able to do yet as I have had a problem with my ankle swelling (possible
tendonitis
) and all advice seems to be to rest.....but it is so frustrating as I am desperate to get the 20 minute (eek) run done to stop it hanging there like a spectre at the feast!

Running shoes for heavy people
Just wondering if anyone had any advice about shoes for heavier people (trying to avoid knee pain). I have previously run indoor on treadmill using Adidas Kanadia 8.1 and not had a huge problem with knee pain but running outdoor which I'm trying to do has given me knee pain. I think it's just being overweight

Finally finished week 2!
So for those who remember just over 2 months ago I did the first run of week 2 and the following morning struggled to even walk down the stairs. The exercises the Bupa triage physio gave me to do didn't really improve matters so after a week he referred me to see an actual physiotherapist. After a couple

Hello
Hi I was diagnosed back in Nov '2013, although I have been in pain daily for almost 40 years (mainly due to a broken hip and pelvis), I had never heard of fibro before then, just had my application for PIP declined. How much pain do I have to suffer to qualify??

Dispersible voltarol
Hi, my mum was diagnosed with RA at 17 and through many surgeries and personal strength has done so well over the years. But now is in too much pain and is getting very limited support. She can no longer take normal tablets and has to take dispersible ones. Shes been told she can no longer have the voltarol

Radiofrequency denervation info, please
Hi everyone. I'm hoping to locate someone who has had a radiofrequency denervation procedure to the spine. Was it successful in relieving pain and what effects did it have on you with loss of sensation etc? Was it a good move to have it done or do you regret it? If anyone can help I'll be very grateful

My Spasticity Story....
Hello everybody it's Fancy1959 and I'm doing my best to work back into the chat room. I wanted to share my spasticity story with you all. Mine usually hits worse after I wake up. But that is not the only time it hits. Occasionally I have severe spacidity during the day as well. Mine typically hits

Exercise
I have
tendonitis
in both shoulders. I sleep a lot. How do I exercise? If I'm awake enough to go out for the day, the next couple of days I sleep coz I feel so exhausted from the day out. My tummy in the mean time is getting bigger. Its like a catch 22 thing going on.

New shoes but not for today
As per "the rules" I am posting a pic of my new shoes. Cost a fortune, half a wet suit! but getting birthday money soon to help:) However since the last run, after which my left foot & ankle were hurting, a friend has visited and walking round exhibitions and museums had me doing the MICE & Voltarol

Strength training?
Hi all, So I know that if you are a runner you have to strength train, too, so you don't lose your muscle and you strengthen your legs to run more confidently. What is your routine? I just started 6 simple exercises (bridge, squats, plank, superman, lunges). Is it really necessary though? Thank you in advance

REEVALUATING THE CAUSE OF MY FALLS
Ok so I have been giving lots of thought regarding my Falls. Thanks to everyone who has replied to my posts regarding this topic. It has made me think and think hard. Maybe, just maybe, the falls are not a symptom of RLS but are a consequence of the continual kicking that I have had to endure thru my
