An interesting non-endo stor
I thought I would give you all an update because I have mentioned my daughter on here before and we have now had the operation with Mr T; all was not as it seemed. My daughter had a brown discharge for over a year and during this time she went to the doctors who prescribed the pill....there's a surprise

How are you all ?
Hello ladies. How is everyone doing? I've noticed that this forum has been quiet since the update. But I miss you all ! I'm doing okay (ish) ! My Endo and adeno are still letting me know that they are there and causing me pain and heavy bleeding. I haven't got my date yet for my hysterectomy, right

Tiredness
Please can you good folk tell me whether extreme tiredness is linked to reduction of preds. It has taken a while but I am now down to 12.5 with no problems with pain. Fluid retention is not good (maybe due somewhat to the heat) and my hot flushes are worse. But my main concern is that I keep falling

Endo stage 4 - daughter only 20
I read alot of the posts on here and didnt even realise how bad stage 4 endo can be. Surprisingly my daughter has only just been diagnosed with it at the age of 20. She has had pain but not excruciatingly so. She also has type 1 diabetes and just gets on with life...she is training to be a solicitor

Hysterectomy and Oophorectomy or not?
I have had continued problems since i was a teenager with painful periods, random bleeding and pain and bleeding during sex. I was diagnosed with cells on the cervix, PCOS and IBS when I was younger. I was lucky to have been able to have 2 children in the years following with little struggle. After

Zoladex, Livial, hysterectomy....does anyone else feel like their life has been turned upside down? How do you cope? Are you still working?
I had 3rd Zoladex injection 4 days ago and really suffering. Insomnia for past 5 weeks meant that I ended up starting Livial a month earlier than scheduled. I feel as though I am in emotional free fall. Does anyone else feel this way? How are you managing to cope and look after your children and carry

Question about HRT for 36yo after oophorectomy
I am 36 and have had both of my ovaries removed by surgery 2 months ago as a result of OC. My gynae-onc and another gynae-oncologist I saw for a second opinion both recommended that I do not use HRT given that I don't have any serious symptoms apart from ocassional hot flashes and difficulty sleeping

Surgical menopause!
Hi all, I really don't know where to start. But here goes, in 1992 aged 21, I had my first laparoscopy for cysts on my bladder that were found to be pre-cancerous. This surgery led to a perforated bladder and instead of a day surgery I was in for 2 weeks. In 1996 after the birth of my 1st child I had

Why do doctors keep refering to 'temporal' arteritis instead of using the term 'giant cell' arteritis?
I read that giant cells can inflame any artery, causing lesions, blockages and damage to vital organs which can result in disability or death. This title is a misnomer and should be challenged! My very ignorant GP said I need only be concerned about having GCA headaches. When I said I had heart pain

Daughter and ovarian cysts at 20 years of age
Im in quite a state today about my Daughter. She has had a brown discharge continuously for 1 year. She went to the doctors who put her on the pill for 3 months. This lessened it but it didnt go away. She went back to the doctor and they ordered a scan which of course she had to wait for. Once that

I have a severe case of Endometriosis and I've been thinking of getting an Oophorectomy and I'm only 20yo
I have tried so much to get my pain to settle down (herbals, medication, birth control, surgery) and nothing is helping. The birth control makes me worse. The surgery didn't keep the pain away. Herbals did nothing. And now I'm desperate to be pain-free. It's hard to live life because my Endometriosis
