First off thank you for taking the time to read. Not sure what’s going on. I’m 42 and have many health conditions, one of which is Hallux Arthritis but since the weather has turned my fingers are aching all day every day, clicking but feel stiff.
I have read that Hallux Arthritis can spread to other parts of the body. I don’t want to make a fuss and go back to the doctors if the symptoms don’t add up to anything. I have to have guided injections in my toes and really worried it’s getting in my fingers. If anyone suffers in arthritis in the fingers can you please tell me whether you think I could have it in my fingers?
Many thanks 🙏🏻

Hi there, I haven't heard of this type of arthritis but someone on here will. You will likely receive many replies of support in the morning. Take care and sleep well xx
Yes, I too have arthritis in my fingers and thumb, right hand. Mine seems to come and go, mine is bad at the moment, the. Trouble with arthritis you just never know what flares up next. I have permanent arthritis in my feet and knees, also sciatica in my back. Good luck to you, try not to worry, keep warm, rest and exercise as much as possible. Goodnight. From me, Penny
My RD started in my wrists and fingers and since diagnosis it's now in my ankles, feet and toes. I'm sorry your hands are so awful. Your first step would be to see your GP who could examine you and order blood tests. If those show the Rheumatoid Factor, or inflammation they could then refer you and possibly prescribe pain killers to put you on until you see someone. I would suggest keeping a diary and taking photos of any swollen joints. There are many conditions which could cause the swelling in your hands and I sincerely hope it's not RD. Only a rheumatologist can diagnose Rheumatoid Disease. Wishing you well
I am supposed to have Raynauds Disease in my hands and already on very strong painkillers but find myself still not coping with the pain. Hence why I was wondering if maybe it could be RA and there’s something different I need to be on?
Go see your GP and asked to be referred a diagnosis will only be done by rheumatology team in my experience. Even if you think you maybe wasting your time it’s best to get it sorted and at least it will put your mind at rest. You never know they maybe able to sort out your issues with pain too or at least point your GP in the right direction. I hope your symptoms go away or at least feel better in the next few days but I’d still get it checked. Stay warm rest and see what tomorrow brings.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my post.
I am having a hell of a week, weathers colder which means my bodies colder and in turn is causing a lot of uncomfortable aching and pain. It must be like this for most when it gets to winter, I will be going to the doctors as soon as I get to Thursday.
