HPV vaccine / to get or not to get? 🤔
Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well/better. I have come here with a question. The medications that I am on seem to have weakened my immune system and voila HPV warts have appeared on me and nothing seems to help get rid of them. I consider getting the hpv vaccine (Gardasil) which I have read might

Magnesium Taurate recommendation
Can anyone recommend a good brand of magnesium taurate for AF? Or any other sort of magnesium? I want to take about 200-250mg per day. I bought some on Amazon by Douglas laboratories, but it is no longer available. There is also some by Tom Oliver, but at 600mg it seems a bit strong. Has anyone tried

Does getting annual flu shot help fight against Covid-19?
Was wondering about this question and planning to ask my CLL and GP docs what they knew. Plus given all the HU posts on antibodies testing/protection against covid (or not) per post covid vaccine taking, has me thinking various vaccine questions. Since doc offices are closed today, I did the “no-no

Dear friends, I have a ‘what would you do’ scenario that I’d really love your help with, please.
A short update for those following - When I saw my haematologist last week it was quite unpleasant, I think her impatience was due to her ridiculous workload or her frustration that she can’t really guide me. I dared not question her words or ask too many Q’s, I left it at a couple, one of them was re

Baricitinib and shingles
Hello all. I'm set to start Baricitnib next week and read that one of the side effects is shingles. As a result, I'm considering paying out of pocket for a non-live vaccine. I'm just wondering which other UK posters have done so? And if you did receive the non-live shingles vaccine, how did you go about

Why is it that ectopics can often been somewhat painful and take your breath away?
I feel like I may have wondered this before, but they're really starting to unsettle me lately. I did the PK diet for a few weeks and during that time, and for 2 weeks after, my heart was the most relaxed it has been in many years. But recently, no doubt due to reintroducing carbs, etc. it has started

Shingles vaccine
I'm booked to have a Shingles jab shortly. Has anyone had this while on Prednisolone? Were you okay? Any side effects.

Intranasal influenza vaccine enhances immune response and offers broad protection, researchers find.
An influenza vaccine that is made of nanoparticles and administered through the nose enhances the body’s immune response to influenza virus infection and offers broad protection against different viral strains, according to researchers in the Institute for Biomedical Sciences at Georgia State University

CLL and transformation to Richter Syndrome after having the flu vaccine
Help all, I have been reading the posts over the past few years, I’m so relieved to have found this support group. My father was diagnosed at 69 with CLL 9 years ago. He is now 78. He has never had treatment so far as his heamatologist said his numbers were not high enough. We live in Australia. He

Second AZ Covid injection
I recently had my second Astrazeneca vaccination. After the first one, there was no reaction at all, even after the yearly flu jab, I get arm swelling. The second injection was a whole different ball game. The evening of the second: Teeth chattering shivers, flu like aches, weakness that was so bad

meningitis vaccine
Do CLL patients who have never had meningitis vaccine need two doses? I am asking about the meningitis vaccine for strains ACWY, such as Menactra, not the Hib/MenC vaccine. It looks like two doses are recommended based on google search but my Dr did not mention getting a second dose.

Shingles vaccination
I had a phone call from my GP to have a Shingles vaccine next week. I didn't manage to ask whether it will be a live or non-live vaccine. Last year I heard an acquaintance of mine with RA said she had been refused by her GP for the shingle vaccine because of RA. Anyone has the shingle vaccination

So tired!
It could've been worse, so I didn't mind the mild headache and I knew I would be sleepy because I was after the 1st pfizer vaccine. Energy is starting to come back tho! Yeah! ☺️ Also emailed my neuro about when to get the shingles vaccine after getting the covid vac. Cause I still have to get that

Covid vaccination?
Hi all This is a long shot but I've just been reading about the flu vaccine on here and wondering if my latest symptoms might be down to my first Covid vaccination ( AZ) in the middle of February. I started shoulder, neck stiffness, soreness last summer but ultrasound scan has shown tears in tendons

Thyroid or Vaccinations?
Good morning everyone. I have now worked my way upto 75mg of levothyroxine after a slow process. My current issue is I feel like the Tin Man who needs oiling. I am really stiff and in pain all over. My left ankle is quite swollen and my left foot bones hurt so much so I have been limping on occasion

Taurine
Has anyone who has taken taurine had their blood pressure go up? I decided to try it. And only about 1/3 of a 500 mg capsule a few times and I believe it caused my BP to go up. Too high. Like 155/77. Mine is usually in the 120/60 or a little lower. I quit taking it but bp still up. Only thing I've done

For those who would like to go the non-med route for RLS
I used to be on here quite frequently, but then got busy with other things. However, I have exchanged chats with some members who asked me about some of my older posts, as well as I have read things in the newsfeed as they pop up in my email. Here is an article which I have found not only helpful, but
