Can anyone recommend a good brand of magnesium taurate for AF? Or any other sort of magnesium? I want to take about 200-250mg per day. I bought some on Amazon by Douglas laboratories, but it is no longer available. There is also some by Tom Oliver, but at 600mg it seems a bit strong. Has anyone tried it? I also tried Holland and Barrett’s Magnesium Citrate which is less expensive than Taurate, but has a laxative effect. Also, how much taurine in the magnesium tablets is good for the heart? I’d prefer to buy some from a high street store if possible.

Magnesium Taurate recommendation
There is also some by Tom Oliver, but at 600mg
I think thats the whole capsule size , if I read it right theres only 160mg of mag.taurate .
Taurine is usually taken @ 1000mg twice a day preferably with the mag.taurate .
Cardiovascular Research Ltd. is the Magnesium Taurate I take.
Its a 880mg capsule which has 125mg elemental magnesium . Two a day gives 250mg plus I take two 1000mg Taurine also.
I might try the CR. I was a bit put off by some reviewers on Amazon however (I’m aware they may not be totally reliable) which said that the quality of the product had deteriorated recently. Mind you, they also said similar about the Tom Oliver.
I have these they are great 👍
I have used nutriadvanced.co.uk/megamag... for 7 yrs, see ingredients list for taurine.
I buy mine from Finchley clinic. Online but I have not yet found any in the high street.
I use taurate from bio care I also like the fact with that company that you can speak to advisors who will help you In deciding what to take the also advised me which type of bit b12 to take I’d been taking the wrong one as I thought they all worked in the same way if they said bit b 12 but they don’t so have changed to what type to take and it’s definitely made a difference so maybe it would be a good idea to call biocare and discuss what magnesium is best for you
Triple calm magnesium on Amazon
I've taken the mag taurate from Cardiovascular Research for several years now.
I use magnesium glycinate. Works for me. It's 400mg. I don't take the whole tablet at one time as magnesium can lower BP which it does me. So I cut the tablet up in five pieces and have learned how much to take for me. And I always take it with meals or with a little food when I take some before bed. Some like the glycinate and some the taurate. Take care.
I take daily 1000mg Taurine by NOW, and half a 400mg Magnesium Taurate (with 25mg Coenzyme B-6) by KAL The Magnesium pill can be easily cut in two and 200mg daily seems to work for me.Both are available on The Internet @ iHerb.com.
The Taurine is about £16 for100 capsules, and the Magnesium Taurate is about £10 for 90 tablets.
I couldn't be happier with the above. My life has changed for the better since I started with the supplements.
Has anyone tried premium mag3 from Aarja health on Amazon please?
The trials I read about used 800mg. The recommended allowance is 350 or something near that...and if you are deficient you need more so you can rebuild stores of it and for your cells to be able to up their use. I take 400 sometimes 500... When I've forgotten to take some and only had 250...it didn't help as much and a few days of that and my flutter came back. ...but I would say get the smaller dose so you can spread it out through the day which is a lot better. All at once and you just pee most of it away because you can't use it all in one go.
