Do CLL patients who have never had meningitis vaccine need two doses? I am asking about the meningitis vaccine for strains ACWY, such as Menactra, not the Hib/MenC vaccine. It looks like two doses are recommended based on google search but my Dr did not mention getting a second dose.

This Medscape article gives the information for why adults would be administered this particular Meningitis vaccine and dosage recommended in certain conditions. CLL is not mentioned, but I assume your Dr. knows of CLL being present?

You have given no information in your profile or in any replies that could guide anyone to answer your question in relation to you. This vaccination is used for specific situations and I hope you can read and relate to your situation which may be Asplenia or complement deficiencies?.
