Had s 48 hour tape done at the beginning of December chased my surgery for results as hadn't heard anything at the end of January all they suggested was contact the hospital this I did had to leave a voicemail as the phone wasn't being answered .
Chased the surgery again yesterday still same answer keep contacting the hospital.
Finally had a call late yesterday from one of the cardiology Secretaries she checked for me and she said my tape hasn't even been looked at yet she said it's taking at least 4 months for them to be analysed.
Was told that if I've not heard anything by the 18th March to get back in touch or to contact my doctor if symptoms get worse so things can be exspediated.
Just hope when its finally checked there isn't anything sinister..

Things are changing so much in how long we can be seen and then after getting results I am not sure if they realise just how much this affects so many people
However I am glad you have got some kind of answer even though not the one you may have wanted but fingers crossed that it is nothing sinister and I hope you will do another update when you find out x
i had a 24 hr holter monitor done in middle of December..still waiting results.. have appt with GP early March will ask her if she has been contacted yet
How awful. They really don't consider what sort of stress toll it has on us do they.Just keep pacing yourself and following advice in the meantime and don't hesitate to call for an urgent appointment with your GP or ring the Cardiology Department if symptoms are getting worse, sometimes making sure they know you still exist and still need help us the only way to speed things up.
is it the case that if results look ok then they don’t believe in rushing to send out results or has anyone had results that show something isn’t quite right but still waited a long time in receiving them?
My results weren't ok but not life threatening. I'm now on a cocktail of medication to help me. Despite the lateness of the results it didn't impact my health immediately.
