Chest Twinges after ASD closure?
I am on day 4 after a ASD closure using the wonder of key hole
surgery
. I am doing fine aside from the fatigue of the general anaesthetic but I am experiencing some funny twinges in my heart. I guess that’s the organ getting used to the foreign device?

surgery tips
I have finally been given my
surgery
date of 6th October. So just shy of 4 weeks away now. I have stage 4 severe deep infiltrating posterior compartment endo that they’re gonna extract using robotic
surgery
. I’m quite worried about the aftermath and pain.

Hi newbie here. Probable secondary Raynauds advice please.
My ankles have collapsed since
surgery
as only been able to wear sandals all year & I now have to wear deep inner soles so cannot wear more than one pair of socks. there is hardly room for my feet let alone another pair of socks & I'm already wearing a size 7 & I'm only a 5.5 prior to
surgery

NHS Laparoscopy date question...
It is going to be done by one of his team of surgeons and I had my appointment with them on 1st December to go through everything and sign my consent form for the
surgery
etc and she said it will likely be within the next 6 months that I have my
surgery
which is great (I cried with relief haha).

Three weeks after open heart surgery
During the day I feel ok, walking around, doing light jobs around the house. In the morning I feel sore and struggle to get out of bed, in the evening I have a painful pain across my left breast, ribs and down my back and continues even after taking painkillers.

Few hours to my OHS
Dear all, In about ten hours, I should be on my way to theatre to have my ASD closed via open heart
surgery
! Strange enough, I feel relatively calm and no tense as all my friends, family and some of my nurses are.

Just some good news
Just wanted to update you all on this in case anyone is thinking of
surgery
to fix something non-cancer related. My husband was looking into getting a hip replacement back in 2021 when he was diagnosed with PC. So the hip replacement was put on hold,.

lung nodule / proposed surgery / scared and confused
sad that I smoked for as long as I did and scared if I have
surgery
because of my smoking there’s a chance I’ll have more nodules and why take away my lung now if he does not believe it to be cancer.

total left hip replacement by Superpath method
It’s a posterior entry
surgery
but done in a minimally invasive way (pulling muscles and tendons back rather than cutting them).

Hubby had his bypass
Hubby is out of
surgery
after his quadruple bypass. They said it went well. He's on a ventilator obviously, and they're going to wake him up in an hour or so, and see if any tubes can be removed. Thank you all so much for your support. I'm going to visit tomorrow

feeling good
The dog I adopted from my friends dogs that passed away is having ACL
surgery
today. I’m hoping I’m up to the challenge of rehabilitation that will be required post op. I understand it is significant. But I couldn’t bear the thought of him going without
surgery
and being lame.

Treatment - radiation vs. surgery
It's less invasive so no risks of
surgery
or anesthesia, no pain, no recovery time, no urinary catheter for a week after
surgery
and no significant difference in risk of ED (possibly more later vs more sooner with
surgery
).
