I have recently been moved to this inhaler due to an increase in coughing leading to me being very tired. It seems to have decreased the frequency of the coughing bouts but when they do come they last for quite a long time and are exhausting. My COPD has been a irritation up till the last 3 months but that all seems to have changed. I am finding it quite scary despite wonderful support from the GP surgery nurses.
Any comments ?

Hi chook, although trimbow definitely didn't agree with me, I would go back to your gp and have a word with them, you said they were lovely and they will understand 😊 good luck chook
It takes a good month or so before you start to feel the full effects of a new inhaler , but if its not right then go back to your nurse , it seems to take a while finding the right inhaler, good luck x
it has worked wonderfully to stop the relentless coughing. I was just concerned about what seems like a side effect. It has not occurred again though I do get a headache when I take it
Trimbow didn't agree with me but we are all different. I am now back to my previous one. Well 2 actually. Spirivs and Surdupla. I dont like change . Xx.Sheila
I had 7 years of coughing which I assumed was my COPD, eventually turned out it was an allergic reaction to the fumes from excess stomach acid. I have a hiatus hernia, I originally tried Gaviscon and the cough stopped I’m now on Omeprazole. A cough can be caused by bacterial, viral, fungal infections or allergic reaction and anxiety, try and pin down the exact cause just in case it’s not your COPD
