Pacemaker surgery
Hello everyone I am likely to be having a pacemaker fitting soon and the idea of the
surgery
is really freaking me out. I think it's because it's done under local anaesthetic and so I'll see them doing it. For people that have had the
surgery
, how was it and how did you feel afterwards?

Surgery etc.
Anyway, I've had 6 rounds of intensive chemo as consultant wanted to contain the cancer before
surgery
. I managed chemo okay with a few issues. Proliferal neuropathy in fingers and feet but got through it reasonably well. My CA125 levels dropped to 27 and she said the cancer had shrunk.

Surgery soon
Hello everyone,I have my
surgery
booked for late Feb to investigate for endo. I will be 45 at the end of this month. I am in pain most days with my left ovary and I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was in my mid twenties, and had two cysts removed from my left ovary in 2013 and then again in 2019.

Prednisolone and surgery
My problem is that I have to have "major abdominal
surgery
" in the summer. The colorectal surgeon wants to do it ASAP but not until I'm down to 5mg, which should, according to the timetable, be end of June.

Eliquis and surgery
I will have to go off my Eliquis for several days prior to having
surgery
on one of my eyes. I am terrified that I may go into AF while off it. Has anyone had to go off their anticoagulant for
surgery
and had AF without it causing a stroke?

Recent surgery surprise!
Had the
surgery
last week. Had to get second operation to address post operative internal bleeding. I have a lot of bruising from the ribs to my vagina and my abdomen is very swollen. The most interesting thing is that the surgeon did not find any Endometriosis inside of me!

Nose surgery??
I had a major jaw
surgery
in 2022 to correct a severe underbite, and resultant chronic pain. I've been super self conscious of my nose (and the rest of my face) since and am having therapy. But I'm also considering getting nose
surgery
. What are your thoughts? What would you change?

Cataract surgery?
Has anyone had any cataract
surgery
while taking Pegasys? Is there a problem with eye
surgery
while taking Interferon? I'm about to be changed over to Pegasys from Hydrea, and also about to have cataract
surgery
. Some of the things I've read seem to indicate that may be a problem.

AUS revision surgery?
I am told I'm a candidate for a second AUS
surgery
, and I'm looking for suggestions and personal experiences. I know the radiation and previous AUS
surgery
could be odds against success. Please let me know your thoughts, and also any suggestions how members deal with incontinence.

things are looking good. I wanted to inform everyone of this procedure and also find out if anyone else has had this done. I am looking to share post operative results and recovery experiences..
