Cataract surgery?

Has anyone had any cataract surgery while taking Pegasys? Is there a problem with eye surgery while taking Interferon? I'm about to be changed over to Pegasys from Hydrea, and also about to have cataract surgery. Some of the things I've read seem to indicate that may be a problem.

I have had cataract surgery whilst on Peg with no adverse effects. I just made my consultant aware and it made a huge difference to my vision.

I had cataract surgery recently and was on Peg at the time. No problems. The reason why I am no longer taking Peg is that I have progressed to MF and need to take Rux instead.

Go ahead and don’t worry. You will be very pleased with the results.
