Dexta still no results
My Dr secretary rang the hospital. They haven't got enough staff to read them. Even if my Dr. Rang for results they still would have to wait for someone who can read them . I'm getting an appointment to see a Dr. At the surgery asap as the swelling is bigger, pain still up all of leg. And behind knee

Surgery waiting times
Hello 👋 I was finally given the best news in March and was put on the waiting list to have suspected endometrioma removed and csection wound exploration. I have what we think is scar endometriosis, so this was absolutely amazing news. Sadly, they said the wait is upto 1 year which is poop but I'm happy

PDA and Coarctation removal by Thoracotomy- Risks in 11 month old baby
HiMy daughter will undergo surgery for closure of PDA and Pseudo coarctation using the Thoracotomy. I read lots of papers around a high percent of patients developing scoliosis ? Do we have anyone in the community who had this surgery when they were 11 months old or know someone who had it done ? Thanks

Sonitus soundbite
Hi all, Has anyone had any experience of using the Soundbite device to address hearing loss in one ear after acoustic neuroma surgery? Just looking at options as I'm struggling a bit, so it would be good to hear of others experience. Here's the website: https://www.sonitusmedical.com/the-soundbite-hearing-system-in-detail

Weight help
Good morning I really hope everyone is doing as well as can be. In September I had echocardiogram as per my son's consultant request. In April I saw the consultant who advised that while he was not overly concerned I needed to make some serious changes. I have a aortic dilation of 4.8 ( having a doppler

Stage 4 A Prostate cancer
My partner was diagnosed with stage 4 A prostate cancer with spread to pelvic lymph nodes. Oncologist has recommended surgery followed by radiation and hormone therapy for a good prognosis. He is 65 healthy and no symptoms. PSA was 11. Has a history of prostrate cancer. Was wondering if we should get

Laparoscopy endo excision overnight stay?
Hi all. I’ve finally got a date for my excision surgery and have been told I’ll be staying in as an inpatient afterwards for a few nights. I’ve never had this before, always been in and out on the same day.. Is there a certain reason why they keep some cases in? Is there something different that

Endometrioma and IVF
Just wondering anyone that has had endometriomas and IVF how big they were to continue with IVF? I have had 2 opinions from two hospitals so feel confused what to do! 1 has advised to have the cysts removed and then go straight into IVF whilst the other is reluctant to do surgery due to my AMH but

Masturbation after circumcision surgery
Hi, I was circumcised 5 days ago. I used to masturbate every day. It has been 5 days and I feel like I just can't take it anymore but I'm scared to hurt the stitches. Would it be ok for me to put some oil on the gland and just caress it to try to cum? How early could I masturbate? Thanks,

Hi all, now I'm sure this topic has been covered umpteen times, but I cannot find any responses to my particular query. I had a voluntary lung health check back in Nov 2023, which involved a CT Scan. The results of the scan showed no evidence for lung cancer. However, it did confirm "evidence of coronary

lapararoscopy
I have a complex cyst probably 7.2-7.4cm and have been told that I will need eventual laparascopy. I am back 23rd of July again for another tvultrasound to check how it is. The gynae/surgeon has done watchful waiting with me since my diagnosis as he knows I am a carer for my mum and I have no one else

2 weeks post hysterectomy
I was scheduled to have a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy and some endometriomas and any other endometriosis removed. This was supposed to take no more than two hours and be a day case when the surgeon opened me up he found that the endometriosis was way more widespread than initially thought I had

No period after endo excision
Hi, I had a cystectomy in 2018 to remove a large cyst from right ovary. Surgeon advised no endometriosis as this was a concern due to family history. Fast forward to 2023, severe pain again. Send for scans, further large cysts were found again in my right ovary. When I had catch up with GP she advised

Do we have to have a laproscopy?
Hi all, I've been referred for an emergency laproscopy for my pain. I suspect endometriosis. But the bigger Q is: do I need the surgery? I guess yes if it can remove the endometriosis and relieve the pain, but is it necessary for being treated for pain? I feel like I need a diagnosis to be taken seriously
