Transplanted on Tuesday

My original transplant was in 1996 with my sister being the donor. In March of 2023 I got the bad version of Covid and damaged this wonderful gift. On August 6, 2024 my granddaughter donated a kidney to me. I’ve been blessed to receive the gift of life twice. The surgery honeymoon is over and my body is waking up, oh boy. All any of us can do is take care of this precious gift to the best of our ability.

Thank you. A bit rough right now but it’s only six days out.

I remember having some issues early on but they resolved and I went for a good long 28 year run with my mom's kidney. I do hope any rough spots get resolved soon.

It’s just post surgery pain. Kidney is functioning well.

There is no “bad version” of Covid-19. Any mutation can make someone, anyone, very sick.

Congratulation on a second kidney!

I hope you choose to mask everywhere. I never stopped.
