Steroid Injection

Morning Everyone, has any one had a problems with having a steroid injection. Has it upset your AF. I have had one before and there were no problems. Thanks Gillian.

I’ve had quite a few and not had any problems. For me the injections didn’t help so I wouldn’t bother again.

I had one on my hip about 5 months ago. The pain has only just started to come back. My AF is behaving itself lately. Appointment has just come through for the 25th January!!!!!

I had a deep epigastric steroid injection under guided xray for a trapped nerve. It worked extremely well, all ok three years later so it did the job. I had no AF issues during the procedure or any ill effects. All I had to do was stop my anticoagulant in the preceding days up to the injection.

I refused a steroid injection for my right shoulder. I had acupuncture. It helped a little.

Steriods fade within 3 months. It starts in blood for life.

they are contra but forgot which meds probably thyroid synthetic hormones. synthyroid.

i refused one before AF in my knee. 3 years later demanded surgeon to go in and look. He found a tear so bad he had to remove all the meniscious. Done.

It could muck the muscle where it is put in.

Never any cortisone injections. Taking anti-co.agulants because ifoprofen worked well on me. No anti-inflammation meds allowed now.

After the last March I got am opium drug.. oxy-normal & paracetamol.

I'm having my right shoulder inner cuff repair. A full thickness tear with 3 others tears.

Yes indeed, I certainly have. Everyone is different of course, but I was given a steroid shot for allergies back in September, that in addition with a steroid inhalant, put me into brutal tachycardia and later a-fib -- was in the hospital overnight because of it. Is there anything else you can take instead of steroids?

Steroid injection into right shoulder on 1 April 2022 ............ no problems, no AF and my shoulder is still fine.

I have had several and never had a problem. Again now everyone is different especially with a fib it seems. We can sympathize and sometimes we do know what you’re talking about but oh what a confusing condition this is 😟

hi there, I have had one before but have had my meds changed since then. I have my cardiologist appointment on the 9th January at 9 then back to doctors in the afternoon for steroid injection at 2. Should be ok.
