Steroids
and Mycophenolate ineffective at managing platelets. Platelets are now managed with Eltrombopag with a count in the 60's. CLL is slowly returning. Lymphocytes now 11. Current plan is to see how long Eltrombopag lasts and then look around for options ... not sure what?

Going for my thrid collection🤯🤪adding luveris - anyone tried it?
🙈🤪🤯 Protocol has been adapted this time with alternate doses of gonal f each day, increase in
steroids
and the addition of luveris. I've read it can help with egg quality but no idea if that's true. Has anyone else added luveris, did it help? Change things?

Arthritis, PMR or both.
On this basis I had intra articular injection of
steroids
int th AC joint. The results were initially amazing but didn’t last long. If I do anything involving my shoulders they do hurt more for a few days before quietening down again.

endoscopy and steroid dose
I normally take my
steroids
after taking a PPI and some yoghurt and cereal. I can do this at 7 as I am not supposed to eat for 6 hours before the procedure. I have had an endoscopy before but am quite worried about it. Do I need to increase my dose on the day of the procedure?

Introducing myself - symptoms worsening, seeking a diagnosis (sorry for the long post!!)
My GP gave me a 5-day course of
steroids
but made clear he won't make it a long-term prescription - so I'm saving it in case the rash gets worse on my face, which I'm now deadly terrified of. It's already around my lips. When the rash is on my face I have honestly no quality of life.

Not yet diagnosed....AN
I'm currently on extremely strong
steroids
to see if it helps and if there is any inflammation in there to reduce. If this doesn't work (they haven't done anything do far apart from stop me sleeping 😴) then next stop will be MRI which the doctors seem reluctant to do so far.

concern over chest infections after chemo, should I be worried?
He has had 4 courses of antibiotics and a course of
steroids
, prednisolone, for this but he is still coughing and wheezing.  Has anyone  experienced this after chemotherapy or should I be worried and request a chest X-ray to rule out anything sinister? thank you allÂ

Vertigo and PD?
I took high doses of IV
steroids
for three days. Later a dominant hand tremor led to a PD diagnosis. But the vertigo abated and I never developed other signs associated with PD: No slowness, no freezing, no balance problems. One neuro said there's no rule you can't have BOTH diseases.

RETURNING MEMBER 'Hi'
Except for the dreaded 'flare ups' & having to take the 'Rescue Pk' of
steroids
& anti/bi it hasn't really limited me. So, other than my daily inhaler (and rescue pk as & when) I've never had to take any other med. The strongest tablet I will take is a paracetamol.

From 4 mg of Prednisone to 240mg of Solumedrol.. in 30 hours....
I'm in the hospital contemplating the curses and blessings of prednisone and the whole family of
steroids
. I have chronic asthma and haven't had a severe asthma attack for 13 years. Who knows maybe all my prednisone was protecting me.

Temperature and inflammation
Like others, I would like to taper down and get off the
steroids
as soon as physically possible, which has resulted in some undershoots and having to bob back up to higher doses.

DOMS or a flare?
My question is do I hang on a bit and see if it is DOMS and improves or do I up the
steroids
for a few days. I’m currently on 10mg and supposed to by reducing next week to 9.5 on the instructions of my Rheumatologist. I’m delaying that by at least a week.

Mets to the spine
He finishes 5 treatments of radiation two weeks ago and starting
steroids
today. My other question is will the pain get better? And how long until it does? Is there ever surgery to remove the tumor? Thank you for any input.

CRP and treatment
After
steroids
and naproxen my level was down to 6. Started on MTX end Oct and CRP level remained low (as far as I know) though I did have to have another steroid course over Dec because of declining mobility.

Changing from oral to intramuscular prednisolone
As I posted a while ago, I started on I/M
steroids
from a private rheumatologist for PMR which had miraculous results. He wrote to my GP asking her to continue injections and that's where the problems started.

Hello I am new here
I have had PMR for the last three years but that has been much better recently and am expecting to come off the
steroids
(1/2 mg slow reduction) within the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to your replies. Thank you.
