Has been struggling to reduce her
steroids
below 5 mgs for many years . The consultant said that they have many patients like this , but they no longer concerned with the patients getting below 7 mgs . That they feel this is a safe dose .

Severe Eosinophilic Asthma
My husband has been very incapacitated by this since March 2020 which came on suddenly and has not improved since then despite continuous
steroids
, inhalers and trying the latest injections. He’s had to pack up his business and still cannot walk 10 yards without breathlessness .

PMR relapse?
Really don't know what to do as hated being on
steroids
before (numerous side effects). But docs and literature I've read all states negative blood tests exclude PMR. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Venting about my latest flare
Plus I hate being on
steroids
as they bring about a whole host of their own problems. I thought if I was taking my meds and doing my due diligence I could ward off flares, but it appears that that's not the case after all :(

Realize that it can be the
steroids
, but it seems the
steroids
can damage your site as well. That’s why I am nervous.

Rheumatology
I have been on high dose
steroids
for PMR, for around 2 years. I am gradually cutting this right down to 3mg. I have never seen a rheumatologist, my doctor doesn't think it is necessary. I have no idea whether my adrenal glands have kicked in, or indeed do I really have PMR.

Tapering again.
The
steroids
seem not to make a difference. So, this morning I took 9.5 mgs, intending a very slow taper down to 9mg (all being well). It's at this point I become confused. Do I do 9.5mgs x2 next week if I've managed the small drop, or do I stick to 9.5 mg x1 per week for 4 weeks.

Biologics
They’re saying the high doses of inhaled
steroids
are the cause of my infections, but I’m colonised with pseudomonas and have nebulised antibiotics to keep under control.

Anyone with behcet's taking rinvoq?
Since starting rinqov I've successfully reduced my
steroids
to a low level 2.5mg daily. Hopefully will come off completely soon but I'm really feeling the tapering drops even by 0.5 mgs every 4 weeks. Interested to hear if anyone else is on it!

Afib, inflammation and NSAIDs
If there is any way I could come off DOACs I would love to so I could take NSAIDs again once I am off the
steroids
. In my previous posts I have stated that my Afib has never been confirmed, and I have never had any symptoms. I am wondering if NSAIDs might also help with Afib?

Was seen very quickly for bp and weight...bp always very high at any surgery......it was 180/80......it:s 150/70 at home...Anyway was then called in to see the doctor.......she talked about my bp and dizziness/balance....and everything according to her is because of

help for cirrhosis
The new doc has put me on
steroids
for a few weeks for inflammation and another med. for inflammation . I have read all of your comments for at least a year about o eating healthy, and I’ve lost 20 pounds. I’m afraid now that I’m too late because of the cirrhosis.
