I was in a covid coma 3years ago and posted in here to soon after I got home my brain was so hyper for a bout a month I felt so.guilty that I survived when ppl were loosing husband's wives children mum's dad's etc when I still do but I did survive I went to therapist who helped a lot and helped me with all the feelings I got my icu diary from the hospital to Help me move forward I still have nightmares about it well it wasn't the coma but the covid delirium after I woke up it was a real now I live on a canal boat adjust having a quiet life with my 🐱 it was the first time in hospital since I was born anywAy thanks all for your replies figment a lot to me hugs to you all drew

I remember you posting about feeling guilty that you’d survived - “Why me?”
Why not you?
Weirdly although I experienced some horrendous ICU delirium- I didn’t get what I considered tradition PTSD.
If you are still getting flashbacks & invasive thoughts - ask your GP about EMDR or CBT therapy.
We survived a torture - that does not mean we should remain tortured!!!
