New study below [1]. It appears in the journal "Sports Medicine - Open", where authors pay to be published, although the papers are peer reviewed. But "Sports Medicine"? Isn't that akin to paying someone to bury your PCa paper in the middle of the Sahara? Perhaps not, if you are still reading. Some

I need some input
I wrote in a few months ago with a more favorable seeming diagnosis, but little factual information, and left feeling like i had plenty of time to decide on a course of action. After meeting last week with Dr. Johnson at Huntsman Salt Lake (who I really liked, btw), I now need to get on the stick it

Radiotherapy at Guys hospital anyone? I need to make a decision!
So it is decision time. My 1.5cm AN has grown in a relatively short time to 2.2cm, pressing on the brain stem and I have been given the option of surgery at Kings or radiotherapy at Guys hospital. The MDT is leaning 'marginally' towards radiotherapy being the better option but there is a 3 to 6 month

lung cancer and secondary. spine cancer
A few weeks ago someone posted a message online which made me think they were in a very similar position to myself and they asked a question which felt very relevant. I have lung cancer. I had an operation to remove two growths on the right lung, then radiotherapy on the left lung. I now have cancer

radiotherapy
I am nearly halfway through a course of radiotherapy with the aim of curing my lung cancer. I was just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar position and if so, at what point do you start to feel the benefits of the treatment. I seem to feel worse as the treatment progresses. Thanks

My husband recently started Lupron and Casodex for stage 3b prostate cancer. Will begin 45 radiation treatments soon. Does anyone have any experience as to the effectiveness of this treatment and ..what has been your experience with side effects to the radiation treatment? Thank you.

Has anyone with TP53 changes been diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome?
I know TP53 plays a role in diagnosing and treating CLL, but I also found that Li-Fraumeni and TP53 are related. I was wondering if anyone here has been tested and diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni as well as CLL. Here is additional information on Li-Fraumeni: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases

Vmat rapid arc radiotherapy
Has anyone got any experience of this? Scans at chemo 1 showed ongoing faint prostatic activity after 3 x Lu-177 and whilst on Degarelix My primary treatment to the prostate was HIFU so apart from early Lu-177 I have had no radiotherapy to the prostate. My London RO also has me lined up for radiotherapy

Overthinking? OR Imagination Running Wild?
Over the past few years, likely due to numerous (negative) human interactions and/or decisions or events imposed upon me, I often find myself visualizing the worst possible outcome of a future situation. Not in an immobilizing, "worrying" way, but just negative. I believe I began subconsciously doing

Radiotherapy, or not?
I recently had my womb and ovaries removed by keyhole surhery because of stage 1A cancer in the womb lining. When they examined the womb they then found stage2 in the neck of the womb (cervix). I have been offered radiotherapy, should I agree to it?

Treatment prognosis
First, a bit of background. I'm 74 years old, and in March 2021, after an MRI and biopsy, I was diagnosed as having T3b prostate cancer with involvement of the left seminal vesicle, Gleason 7 (4 + 3) ISUP group 3, PSA 11. The Radiation Oncologist told me that treatment was going to be 6 months Zoladex

Steroid use in Glioblastoma Battle
Good Morning Everyone. I was just wondering what kind of steroid doses people are on for countering the swelling on the brain around the tumour. My dad (a 78 year old diagnosed in October) had to stop radiotherapy 5 sessions into a course of 15 in January after an initially successful debulking. We cut
