Rising PSA despite salvage radiotherapy.
I have posted before but may be a short introduction helps. I am 71 yo and was dx of Gleason 6 back in May 2019 with PSA 10.5. Had my RARP in Toronto (Princess Margaret Hospital) in Oct 2019. I did not have lymph node exploration because the urologist did not feel that I needed it with Gleason 6. Pathology

Has anyone experienced severe stomach cramps while taking Faslodex injections?
I recently started Faslodex treatment, about 5 days later these horrible pains started in my upper abdomen. I just wondered if this is due to injections or my Y 90 radiation treatment I had on May 26. Has anyone had these treatments together ? I would love any suggestions. Please share your advise or

When I was officially diagnosed in sept 2019 with breast cancer ER negative HER2 positive and positive nodes. I had 4 months neojuvent chemo then due to lockdown had left breast and lymph nodes removed. This followed by a further 10 months of chemo and 20 sessions of radiotherapy. I know they removed

Is Bicalutamide the right treatment and when is a PET Scan required
I am a 64-year-old retired Army man living at Delhi in India diagnosed purely by chance…was taking meds for Rheumatoid Arthritis and the doc suggested getting an ultra sound to see if my liver was okay. It was but also showed a mildly enlarged prostate, so got a PSA test for the first time

D-dimer & Dangerous Blood Clots
I have posted quite a lot about the importance of D-dimer in the past 5+ years, but the recent post from 5_plus_4, "
I almost died Tuesday
" had me thinking that perhaps some basic information on coagulation issues needs to be reposted periodically, particularly for new members. No-one should die

Blood test finds 50 types of cancer is accurate enough to be rolled out
For anyone who has been treated with radiation therapy, this could be handy to keep an eye on potential secondary cancers. A simple blood test that can detect more than 50 types of cancer before any clinical signs or symptoms of the disease emerge in a person is accurate enough to be rolled out

Flomax Issue!
I was treated for aggressive Prostate Cancer in 2012 with ADT followed by two months of Radiation Treatment. (Gleas 9 and PSA 6) My recent PSA Test Result was 0.15. (6/21)I have been most fortunate to this point. A constant problem I have is Extreme Dry Mouth. I know Flomax can be a cause of this condition

Myhubby58 went to Dr today.. The Dr told him about a new trial that’s not even approved by FDA yet.. RU33 or something like that.. it is a type of radiation treatment to kill cancer cells, but what else does it kill .. I say no, just live out your life and do healthy regimen.. But Myhubby58 wants to

Can radiation cause kidney pain?
Started getting a sharp pain in my kidney and/or lower back a few hours after my radiation therapy today. Don't know if it is related to the therapy or not and I didn't find anything about this online but since we have pros here, I figured I'd ask the question here.

TAKE-HOME MESSAGE In this study of 26,118 men with adverse pathology, the authors investigated the impact of adjuvant versus early salvage radiation therapy following radical prostatectomy.
