Radiotherapy on lymph node/posting problems
I am to have radiotherapy on a lymph node near my armpit. There is still low activity in some other lymph nodes but my oncologist would rather watch and wait before giving me more chemo but the one under my arm has got bigger hence my treatment. I wondered if anyone else had had this and was it successful

Advice after diagnosis due to Chemo
Hi I have just finished 8 cycles of chemo and 15 rounds of radiotherapy for breast cancer and all is good. However my recent heart scan compared to the one I had before treatment and one half way through shows that my heart has dropped a little. I have to take ramicon daily and go for another scan

Long-Term ADT With Radiation
https://www.medpagetoday.com/meetingcoverage/esmo/100690 Basically finds that 6 months of ADT (with radiation) doesn't show superiority to radiation alone, while 24 months of ADT (with radiation) does usually show superiority to no ADT and 6 months of ADT. It leaves unanswered any questions about 12

Thyroid cancer after radiation therapy
I was born with a large cavernous hemangioma on my face. One of the treatment methods was radiation therapy. Recently an ultrasound scan showed that I have a thyroid tumor. I was not particularly nervous about it, I signed up for a biopsy and waited calmly for the results. But now I found out that

PSA Expectations after SRT with Concurrent ADT
Greetings! I just wrapped up 7 weeks of salvage radiation therapy on 26 August that was done with concurrent androgen deprivation therapy, and I'm about to go for my first post-treatment PSA test. (We agreed the ADT would be a one-time, 6-month dose to assist with the SRT.) I'm just not sure where

Looks like I have a game plan with the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma. Lupron treatment( hormone therapy). MRI/CT Scan one week before SRBT radiation treatment. SRBT radiation treatment (imaging guided and 5 visits). Does not include the visit for the placement of the markers

hypothyroid and flu-like symptoms
Hello, I’m just wondering if there is any link between hypothyroidism and flu-like illness. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2013 after radiation treatment for lung cancer. I feel like I have the flu approximately once a month and this has been going on for years. I never have a cough but sore

Should I ask for a new assessment - fourth edition
Finally got to see the Chemotherapy Consultant. She was very nice, very patient and explained everything thoroughly, not just about the chemotherapy but the state of my cancer too. I learned quite a bit about myself and my cancer and many questions were answered. End result is that I start palliative

Good day to you all. I am a 58 year old soon to be 59 (in two months' time) and was diagnosed with a 3mm AN in 2013 and advised to watch and wait. Rationale for blind radiation to the bed of the prostate
Wife would like to ask what the rationale is for SRT without a biopsy or any kind of imaging. My psa went from .08 on 1/17/22 after almost 3 years of undetectable psa.. Most recent psa was .21 on 8/5/22. Urologist encouraged to have radiation therapy to the bed as original gleason score was 8 on

Bill Turnbull Prostate Cancer
watched BBC breakfast, good that encouraging men to get tested. May I add warning - my late husband had 14 year battle with prostate cancer, but also with NHS. Our local hospital wouldn’t do anything as his PSA reading was low, even though it’s known to be unreliable. When eventually sent for radiotherapy
