Bad cold sore should I wait to inject Methotrexate?
I was at the dentist last Thursday - not my usual one - and she was a bit rough! She split my lip in the corner and it's came out with large cold sores which are not healing! 😔 I'm considering not injecting today to give them a better chance to heal - what do you think? They're sore and I can't eat

Anyone had spinal fusion on T10-12?
I have severe osteoporosis and kyphosis from breaking T10-T12 and wondered if anyone has had this? They're recommending a spinal fusion to fix this or otherwise to live in a brace forever hoping the kyphosis curve won't progress any more than it already has. I'm wondering which is the better option if

Does spinal fusion help take away severe pain from kyphosis due to broken vertebrae? (T10-T12)
My doctor is saying that I need to get a spinal fusion because I broke T10 through T12 back in 2011 so over 12 years ago and it is caused severe phasis due to my osteoporosis and from never getting it surgically dealt with at the time. I'm working on getting my bones stronger and he saying that if I

Helo, can anyone advise me on the way forward. I have a degeneration disc at L5S1 which herniated massively. I was having severe lower back pain and some nerve pain in the right leg. I had a discectomy surgery in 2016. After the surgery, my back pain got worse and i started having bilateral tingling

Cold & sore throat PAF
hi, I’ve had a cold and cough for 7 days now and having been having AF episodes lasting from 30mins - 5hours almost daily. Normally I would get an episode once a month at worst. Can colds and coughs bring on more regular occurances of AF?

colds and coughs
I am recently diagnosed with RA, I am on immune blockers. And I keep getting colds and coughs. is this due to my immune system being reduced. And is there anything I can do to treat this? Thank you.

Goitre and Spinal Surgery
Hi. I am awaiting Cervical Spinal Surgery but also have a multinodular enlarged goitre. The spinals team says the goitre needs to come out first before they can get to the discs in my neck. It’s all a waiting game at the minute. I have a very high anaesthesia risk too. Intubation is difficult for

Tips for knee pain at 68
Hi everyone, I'm Lyndon. I Woke up Saturday morning with a horrible surprise - knee pain. It's centered on the front left side of my right knee, a dull ache that's been keeping me up at night and making it tough to move around. At 68, I've had my fair share of aches and pains, but this is new territory

Broken in all the right places?🧐🤔
This is me. I have permanent nerve damage on the majority of my left side from shoulder to hand to hip to shin. I have every excuse to wallow in self pity and take out my frustrations on the world and people around me...and I have, believe me. 2 Lower back fusion surgeries 5 days apart in '16 and a week

I technically need a spinal fusion to fix my back but my bones are too osteoporotic. My Dr says I need to go back into a back brace to try

went off Xgeva for a year, have to go back on it. Ideas or tips helpful
Hi, the short version is I’ve been dealing w stage 4 MBC since 2019/ 2020 with mets to the bones since 2020, including a thoracic spinal fracture which led to a spinal fusion. I was put on Xgeva for a couple of years and later read on Xgeva’s website that being on it long term is likely to increase

Well as if the year hasn't been shit enough. I went into AF on Friday night and now on Digoxin and Eliquis blood thinners. still here
Hi All I like to try and update my journey so you can see that there are some longer term survivors. I am still on 0 PSA with advanced cancer. My journey is on my bio. I was diagnosed at 47 and now I’m 54 with no progression. My primary treatment was Zytiga and it is still working. I take a concoction

Cold is good for you
Radio 4 currently has a series by Dr Michael Mosley, Cold Therapy. The third episode deals with exercising in the cold. One of his conclusions is that people who run reasonable distances for fun (as opposed to marathons, ultra runners, professionals) have their best performance at around 10-11C. Well

Spinal Cord Stimulator
I am waiting to begin a trial for the Spinal Cord Stimulator. The doctor will put an external wire going up my spinal cord and have a battery pack on my back for a few days. The Stimulator is supposed to stop the lumbar pain from reaching the brain. If it works, the doctor will install an internal stimulator
