I like to try and update my journey so you can see that there are some longer term survivors. I am still on 0 PSA with advanced cancer. My journey is on my bio. I was diagnosed at 47 and now I’m 54 with no progression. My primary treatment was Zytiga and it is still working. I take a concoction of vitamins and regularly do hot cold therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Side affects on your hormones from the meds will always be hard work but the longer it goes on the less the side affects appear impactful. I lead a fairly normal life and the initial diagnosis giving me 12 months is in the past. I live with my advanced prognosis and remain thankful. My advice to all is research it extensively and don’t settle on one opinion. It’s a fight for your life so make sure you are educated on every aspect of your treatments. Merry Christmas All 🎅

I am really happy for you, I really am - I am sure we all are, if not a little envious and hope we all make max distance so to speak - I am in the same boat as yourself by the look of it - although my male hormone - testosterone may not be quite under the control it needs to be ! - its a real shame that the only real treatment currently working so far is to remove a mans testosterone and in the main , sex life and make him fat ! - sorry everyone - not trying to get anybody down - I pray to god for help and had my Vicar discuss my final arrangements - I ve got my cremation paid for - my wife is a real rock for support - my mother is 89 and lives with us with dementia so today is a challenge it really is ! - I want to wish everyone good luck for the future and above all for the Christians amongst us - Merry Christmas and everyone else a very nice future too - Kindest Raoul
