Can anyone explain how TSH can go from undectable to 7.14 in two weeks?
I finally got an endocrinologist to see me, and she was adamant that I quit taking T3. The lab test at that visit had TSH <.02 (undetectable). I put my trust in her and stopped the T3 and continued 50 mcg levo/ day. After 2 weeks I went in for another test for TSH and T4. T4 was 0.4 and TSH was 7.14

New results - TSH up despite levo
Hi, I have been taking 25mcgs levothyroxine for 6 and a half weeks now and my previous results from 24th November 2023 were: TSH 4.18 (0.27-4.2) T4 12.7 (12-22) My latest results are TSH 4.36 (0.27-4.2) T4 14.1 (12-22) So my TSH has gone up - which seems strange. I did try taking 50mcgs for a few

Private blood test
I've been on levo 75mg for about 5yrs. Dr wouldn't increase because TSH was low and diabetes endo wouldn't look at my thyroid issues. After a private blood test last year I mentioned t3 to him as mine is low. He said we don't trust private bloods. Can't give t3 but you can see a private endo who will

First test results after adding T3 - I’m confused!
Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate your help with my latest results and welcome ideas for suggested next steps. Just a reminder, I currently self-treat. In October I posted the following results (Randox) whilst on 62.5mcg of Levo (Eutirox): TSH 1.44 (0.35-5.5) FT4 18.2 (11.9-21.6) FT3 3.96 (3.1

DEXA scan result Poor. What to do about T3? Endocrinologist unhappy with suppressed TSH even before DEXA. How do I advocate for myself now?!
Afternoon All, I’ve just received a letter from my Second Opinion Endocrinologist with the results of my first ever DEXA scan. She is not happy. T Scores (no idea what any of this means, btw!): -1.6 L spine, -0.4 total hip, -0.9 NOF A few months back I was told by Endocrinologist One to reduce my

I’m 60yoF, partial hysterectomy years ago. After hysterectomy was dx hashimotos. On levothyroxine 75mcg, continuously wt gain despite walking 7-10 miles daily. Eat healthy most often as an educated nutritionist. I convinced my MD to try Metformin to see if any help. MD would only order 500 once daily

low tsh but still hypothyroid
hi I keep getting bloods every 6-8 weeks from my doctor as my tsh level is constantly below 0.01…. I am on 75mcg of levo one night and then 100mcg of levo the next as told by my doctor. But I’m still having all the symptoms still of being underactive. When I was on 100-120mcg daily I felt so much better
