More to add to my sh*tshow

Well as if the year hasn't been sh*t enough. I went into AF on Friday night and now on Digoxin and Eliquis blood thinners. This just tops my shitty year off.......I hope these 2 drugs don't make the RLS worse. The universe has really given me a kick in the teeth this year, with spinal surgery resulting in nerve damage in legs along with the RLS....I think the AF is caused by the amount of anxiety and stress I have had. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth waking up.....

Both should be OK. At least I haven't found anything that says they are not.

I agree with SueJohnson and I speak from experience with both RLS and A-Fib. My A-Fib treatment began 13 years ago there was not any negative impact on my RLS from the A-fib meds. I had already been dealing with the RLS for several years at that point. What are your RLS meds? The concern that I have is the augmentation that results from prolonged use of Mirapex/Pramipexole. As far as anxiety causing your A-fib, this is a mysterious condition for sure. My cardiologist assured me that the there is no difinitive cause of A-fib. Anxiety can surely lead to many health issues and it is to your benefit to address that issue. Many antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs do indeed worsen RLS. So, be aware of the culprits such as Prozac. The Mayo Clinic abstract on this subject can be found with this link:

Living with A-fib can be challanging. But it is managable with the right meds and I have not found that those meds are ever contributed to the RLS. I researched numerous articles once my RLS reached the augmentation stage and the A-Fib meds were not included in any of those articles. The Mayo Clinic Algorithim on RLS treatment is worth researching as well.

I’m so sorry to hear this. You certainly have had a difficult time lately! The AF certainly can be caused by the stress you have had coupled with RLS and minimal sleep. I pray you have relief soon. Hang in there
