Week 7 first run
I have just completed the first run of week 7 using the podcasts. Have to say these are great, I would not have done it without them. I had spinal fusion surgery 11 months ago and have not even been able to run for a bus in years, I walked with a stick 3 years ago. I have amazed myself with what I can

L5-S1 spinal fusion
OK everyone, I had my fusion Wednesday the 16th. Yes it is extremely painful but I made it and already feel better. I had 6 screw's 2 pins and a plate installed. That carved a peace of hip bone to help fuse everything. I can't walk too well just yet but really pushing my self. I guess I was scared

Tudorza
I started using tudorza 12 days ago. I must say, I'm quite impressed so far. I try to go to the gym everyday. I usually do 2 miles but on 2.5, and sometimes struggle. Today I did 2miles on 2.9 and was hardly out of breath. I also use symbicort for my asthma. I tried spiriva for my copd, but it actually

Every morning browsing the daily posts my heart goes out to those seeking help, advice, or the need of a little understanding, at the same time I can't help thinking of those lurking in the dark corners of the forum too shy or nervous to make themselves known. It’s hard to answer the posts but some

Supplements
Has anybody with CLL had any advice about taking supplements, like iron, cod liver oil, or any other tablets or capsules. I have been told that they mess with readings on blood counts, but I have also heard that they cause no problems. Can anybody help??

This is the first time I've mentioned it but I'm going into hospital on Wednesday to have spinal surgery and although I've managed to get 'in a zone' up until now, I am starting to get nervous. One of my vertebrae is impinging on my spinal cord in my neck which is being removed and they are also having

COPD and vapour fag things
Hi guys I was diagnosed with moderate COPD last week and I've smoked for the last 25 years. Now that I have ran out of baccy I have started to use a vapour efag thing. Have any of you got any experience in quitting smoking this way? Or am I better off using other nicotine delivery systems?

Cortizone injections, and non steroid anti inflamitory tablets. Do they cure you, or just relieve the pain, leaving you with side effects,!!
My story, I was diagnosed with arthritis at the age of 44. most of my joints were involved, including fingers toes shoulders neck spine, i was always in pain and was only to pleased to take the non steroid tablets to reduce the swelling, and looked forward to the hospital visit every 12 weeks to get

Newly diagnosed. How does PBC impact existing health problems?
Hi I was diagnosed with PBC four months ago after having a series of confused / dizzy spells leading to scans, blood tests. So I did all the practical stuff, I read the leaflets, improved my diet, took my Ursofalk and bar a few stomach upsets it was business as usual. From what I've read at this point

Hey guys worried question about sores in mouth and raised rheumatiod factor,
Hey everyone, just wondering about mouth sores and vasculitis. My mom got her results back today from her biopsy, and the biopsy showed vasculitis. They are not sure of the type yet, but are concerned that she has cold sores in her mouth, and the doctor says this is not typical of the illness. But
