I started using tudorza 12 days ago. I must say, I'm quite impressed so far. I try to go to the gym everyday. I usually do 2 miles but on 2.5, and sometimes struggle. Today I did 2miles on 2.9 and was hardly out of breath. I also use symbicort for my asthma. I tried spiriva for my copd, but it actually made my breathing worse. Hope this tudorza continues to work this well. I thought id share this with everyone....will keep posting .

(...No cause for alarm; I'd just never heard of this drug so, in my usual way, looked it up; if it works for you, so much the better....)

fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom...

The safety and efficacy of Tudorza Pressair were demonstrated in three randomized, placebo-controlled confirmatory clinical trials that included 1,276 patients ages 40 and older with a clinical diagnosis of COPD. Those treated had a smoking history of at least one pack a day for 10 years.

Tudorza Pressair may cause serious side effects, including paradoxical bronchospasm, new or worsened increased pressure in the eyes (acute narrow-angle glaucoma), or new or worsened urinary retention. Tudorza Pressair should not be used as a rescue therapy to treat sudden breathing problems (acute bronchospasm) and is not recommended for people younger than 18 years. The most common side effects reported by patients using Tudorza Pressair include headache, inflammation of the nasal passage (nasopharyngitis), and cough.

I did see this information, and realize all drugs have side effects. I was on spiriva and I believe it has side effects worse than tudorza, but this work for me...spiriva did not. Just hope it continues. It really is a double edge sword when choosing meds. Your damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Thanks for sharing your info with me though. I always appreciate anything that help me stay informed.
