I have had ITP for the last 10 years and yes it is autoimmune so I have had the flu twice this year and am feeling crummy again. I would talk to your doctor about filling out family leave act paperwork. You would qualify for qualifing event. With your ITP you would qualify. You have to use your sick leave first and you don't get paid, but you would have 12 weeks in which you could be sick and it wouldn't count against you. It's the family leave act!

It really does get tiring seeing dr after dr. I can’t seem to get my hematologist and nurse practitioner to get on the same pg. sometimes I dream of what it was like not living my life for dr visits. Oh ya and what it was like to get a whole nights sleep lol
