I am a newby here, but not to ADD!
I knew I was different most of my life, but tried to hide it. Hurt my back at work, had a spinal fusion which worked very well. But i was at a conference and was given a fruit smoothie which turned into the worst food poisoning I could ever imagine. to keep it short I lost consciousness and my forehead

https://fibromyalgianewstoday.com/2018/08/02/fibromyalgia-patients-spinal-fusion-surgery-more-complications-costs Surgery was offered to me at one point. I refused, I'm agoraphobic and the 12-month rehab scared the hell out of me, let alone the rest of it. I have been sat here trying to understand what

Krill oil anyone? Interesting research to start for Lupus SLE
Hi all http://lupusnewstoday.com/2018/08/29/new-trial-assessing-potential-krill-oil-ease-lupus-symptoms/ However the participants in the trial will be those who eat seafood two or less times a month(?!), so will probably show an improvement anyway... as shown in this 2016 article: http://lupusnewstoday.com

Everything is painful
I have chronic physical pain. I’m scheduled for surgery on my lower back. 360 spinal fusion. I’m also so depressed that I’m having trouble even writing this. I’m in extreme emotional pain. Just found out that my husband has been lying and probably cheating on me again. I feel hopeless and helpless. I

Smoking. !!!
I am writing as I am wondering if there's something seriously wrong with me or is it a personal issue. I am still a smoker with emphysema and two weeks ago I went to the Dr, not my usual one at the practice, and when I asked her for Zyban which I have used before and it made me stop smoking, she said

Colds and asthma flare up
Hi I have a cold(one of my main triggers) and was really hoping to avoid a flare up of my asthma. I had a bad winter with two very long chest infections, countless steriods and antibiotics and the weather has been against all of us with chest complaints this summer. I didn't used to react to normal colds

Peripheral Neuropathy
Hi, I am new to this forum, and am a young elderly lady!! Over the last 5 years have been under 3 Neurologists and the last year or so under my local pain clinic. Finally had the more or less diagnosis of Perioheral Neuropathy ( non diabetic- no obvious cause). In January had a Bilateral spinal nerve

Weaning off Ropinerole
I will never take ropinerole again. I weaned my self from it a few years ago and it was difficult. I restarted it with recurring RLS. I was suffering Augmentation earlier and earlier in the day as early as noon and early afternoon if I sat or would lie down to watch TV. I don't like being reliant on

Spinal cord stimulator
I was recently recommended for a spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implant, as I have failed all conservative pain management attempts (both pharmacological and non-pharmacological) for neuropathic pain. I found out earlier this week that I was approved for a four day trial, which is scheduled for 6/25/18

Medicinal cannabis
I’ve been told by my GP that he can no longer prescribe Fentanyl lozenges for my breakthrough pain. I’ve always known they are palliative care drugs. They worked for me. Now I’m stressed about how I’ll cope when my last two are gone. Has anyone else had medicinal cannabis prescribed? If so did it work
