Saw my GP yesterday for a follow up. Explained I've felt worse daily since being disgnosed with svt. I've not had a full blown episode but I am almost constantly dealing with chest tightness/pressure & although its not painful its very uncomfortable. It comes & goes but nothing I do helps. I thought

Chest pressure/tightness
Since I was diagnosed with svt I haven't had a full on episode. I've felt like it was about to hapoen but it stopped. I've woken up 2 days now with chest pressure/tightness & I'm very aware my heart is beating (feel it in my higher chest & throat) but my heart rate is normal. I've tried the things the

Hi there Everyone! I sure feel your pain! I started out with hand, thumb, ankle joint pain and swelling. That progressed to elbow, shoulder and hips. Our family physician thought I had RA, but all test were negative, he sent me to a Rheumatologist, anyway. Many drugs and tests later, she pronounced

Travel insurance : a story.
I will have to arrange travel insurance for myself when I travel to America for my son's wedding next May. With this in mind I have been making notes of people's recommendations on this forum, and also noting details from Which magazine. Meantime, my friend John has been planning a 14 day holiday to

Did anyone else suffer palpitations in the early days after successful ablation for flutter?
Having had my ablation for permanent atrial flutter six days ago, which they say has a 95% success rate, it was a bit disconcerting to 3 days later start getting an irregular pulse and palpitations again. These lasted 2 - 3 hours. Today, day 6, I am not sure if I am in Sinus Rhythm or not or what

Anyone had an ablation and keep suffering bad ectopic beats?
I'm Feeling really low at the moment as I keep having ectopic beats and I'm beginning to think it would have been better not to have had my last ablation. I'm not sure though if I've become so anxious about it that I'm causing the ectopic beats myself as my nerves are in shreds at the moment. I had anti

Nerve Block Injections
I took the plunge last Thursday by submitting myself to having the Greater Occipital Nerve Block injections. I was warned that they would be painful, that I would probably experience some numbness in my head and that the anesthetic would wear off after 24 hours leaving me with some pain and that I would

Bisoprolol as a 'pill in the pocket'
A few weeks ago when admitted to hospital with my pulse at a constant 160, they treated it with Metoprolol and it soon went back into normal sinus rhythm. I thought it strange that they had prescribed this drug as a few years ago, when I was again in hospital with constant tachycardia they overdosed

Been in hospital
My heart took off racing earlier in the week and my GP called an ambulance and I was admitted to the cardiology ward of my local hospital. While in A&E I was given magnesium by drip and it didn't agree with me at all. I felt like a hot rushing through my veins and then started to very slowly pass out

I think I need to try the change of drug route before undergoing

I have Colitis & Reflux
I use Lialda for the colitis and it stays in check. For the reflux I use Dexilant and I thought this would also remain in check. Recently had surgery for PAD in my legs. Actually just the first leg and I came down with a server case of reflux where by bile would constantly come up. The hospital gave
