Update of ablation in Mid Dec
Hi all - had a bit of a different xmas experience this year. On Christmas Eve lunch time phoned Dr and told to go straight to A&E - diagnosed with palpitations, tachycardia and bradycardia events. Bit of a mish mash really. Discharged last night so hopefully on the road to recovery now. Feeling better

Hi..... I need some advice please, fast.
Hi, As some of you may know I have multiple health issues, as I know many of you do. For the past year I have had severe neck pain, which then caused extremely severe occipital neuralgia. I am on 20 micrograms of Bu-trans patches at present, and waiting for a nerve block on Christmas Eve. On Thursday

Side effects of apixaban
I'm feeling rubbish, been on apixaban for 6 days. My head feels like it's swimming, my legs are feeling very heavy and aching, hands tingling and rather short tempered, which isn't me. How long should I put up with it for? At the moment I feel like stopping it, I'd speak to the GP of course. Thank

Has anyone experienced having a neck nerve block?
Hi There, :) I only joined this forum yesterday, so my apologies if this question has been asked countless times before. I have severe neck problems and occipital (head) neuralgia, and have tried acupuncture with no success, various medications such as gabapentin and pregablin which interacted with

Vagina nerve block
I recently had a procedure in my vagina as recommended by my gynaecologist. He said he would inject the tender area with steroid and anaesthetic. This tenderness followed childbirth and it only felt tender upon touch about 5cm inside. Since the injection 5 weeks ago, it now feels so much worse. Tingly

Nerve Blocks!
Would like to know if anyone has had success with nerve blocks? I have rectal-anal pain from PN. Told by neurologist there is a 90% success rate, with four injections, spread four-six weeks apart. Could anyone give me some input? Would appreciate as I am scheduled for this week. Meds do not work and

Exercise and heart rate
I've heard that heart rate monitors (strap around chest - reading on watch) don't work well when in afib. What about if you are having ectopic beats? I'd like to get back into exercising but I have developed this fear of my heart rate getting too high.

Occipital Nerve Root Block and Fibromyalgia
I am due to have an occipital nerve root block tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone who has had this procedure also has Fibromyalgia. If so was there any response that I need to be prepared for from the Fibro. I recently went to see a neurologist at his specialist headache clinic and he identified

Change to Apixaban
Picked up my first packs of Eliquis (Apixaban) today so will be starting them in the next couple of days once my warfarin INR is south of 2.0 (but only just!!). Quite exciting to think of all that lovely spinach and brocolli I can now enjoy without a care and no more trips to the hospital for blood

PN has stolen my life
Back at beginning of March it started as an itch in the rectum by the end of March I was unable to sit . The itch turned into twisting and throbbing , then my bottom muscles went into spasm and not forgetting the shooting pain ! I've been X rayed had MRI 's , seen a number of orthopaedic consultants

neck pain
I tried acupuncture an assort pain killers. I have now tried the first in a series of nerve block. This seems to work My vertebra spacing 2 thru 7 appears almost gone. Does anyone have experience on how long does this relief last? I hear from permanently to several years or perhaps several months

Can anyone advise me whether you still get 'episodes' when you're on meds.i felt uncomfortable in bed this morning & my chest hurt abit when I got up I felt I couldn't breathe enough air in. Walking up the stairs makes me feel horrendous. No palpitations& heart rate fine but still got the tight hurting

Managing NOACs
Hi all, I'm shortly changing over from Warfarin to Apixaban and this will be the first time I've had a twice a day medicine regime. Normally I take all my meds, including warfarin, in the morning but none is that time critical. On the other hand it is going to be very important that I take Apixaban
