How many ectopics is too many
I was diagnosed with AF in 2007 but had ectopic beats for years before that and still have them now even though my AF is controlled by Flecainide and Bisoprolol . I have an active job and during the day don't always notice the ectopic beats but once I relax they come on with a vengeance. My last visit

Flecainide- Time to work? Sinus rhythm!
How long does 100mg flecainide take to convert to sinus rhythm once afib has started? Just an idea would be great so I know what to expect if I have an episode. This is new to me. Thanks!

First episode of AFIB that was constant. It was 20 hours before I was cardioverted.
I’m not really new to the feeling of an arrhythmia. 3 years ago after a neck surgery I was setting on my couch recovering and went into AFLUTTER/SVT. Luckily my mom was around and I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance immediately! They gave me adenosine and I think ephedrine to try and slow my

An experiment!
Hi all, after spending the last month with dreadful ectopics and palpitations on a several-times-daily basis, I have decided to experiment. I was reaching for the Flecainide as soon as I had the wobbles, terrified that i was going to go into AF at any moment. Also suffering with bad effects from Apixaban

Constant Pain in right thigh/hip.
Hi. Was wondering if anyone had problems getting doctors & specialists to listen to your condition? I had 5 miscarriages before I had tests for APS. Then I went to St Mary's Hospital in London, got diagnosed with APS & 9 months later we had our son. We then moved to Australia & I am having terrible pains

Sympathetic nerve block or burning nerves?
Hi Guys, Just had a sympathetic lumbar nerve block and it has really helped with my pain, and the next step would be a series of nerve blocks or where they burn the nerves. Which one gives longer pain relief and is nerve burning a safe process? Thanks,

ECG at pre op today
Wow it was so nice to have an ECG today and see ‘sinus rhythm’ on the printout.... Having an operation on Sunday .... stopping Apixaban on Thursday.... 2 full days without it before op. Bit scary but hopefully my NSR means I’m ok without it .... they didn’t seem unduly concerned. However the point

Help interpreting a Kardia report.
Yesterday I posted here to say that I had had lots of ectopics shortly after drinking some beer. I sent a Kardia reading off for analysis; this was taken several hours later and followed what I experienced as ectopics followed by a very slow heartbeat for about 15 seconds. The report has now come back

My 16 year old daughter has low blood pressure since her SVT ablation . Can anyone help explain why this is happening ?
Hello , I’m desperately seeking some advice here. My 16 year old daughter had an ablation caused from SVT just 3 weeks ago. Since then she is suffering from low blood pressure normally 80’s over 50’s and 2 days ago she fainted while standing getting her prom dress altered. I took her to the ER after

Ilioinguinal nerve block for painful testicle
Has anyone here undergone an Ilioinguinal nerve block for a painful testicle. Did the nerve block stop the pain, if so, for how long?

Heart Rate at 29bpm.. Too low?
I recently recorded my heart rate going as low as 29bpm. Even in the 40s range, it makes me dizzy and leads to skipped beats and chest pain. I almost passed out at this rate but thankfully didn't completely faint. Has anyone experienced a low like this? My Tachycardia hasn't come in a while, which is

Is there a condition that is opposite of postural tachycardia?
Hi all, First time posting on a forum for this issue. I'm very desperate for answers and hoping that someone here may have an idea what specifically this condition is so that I may finally get properly treated. A little family background: My father has a severe arythmia condition. He has had dozens of

Haemorrhoids and Apixaban
I have haemorrhoids which are bleeding and the doctor told me to come off of Apixaban for 6 days whilst having a course of treatment for them. I am concerned about this as I have AF attacks about every 10-14 days and might have an attack while not taking Apixaban. Has anyone else been advised to do

Looking for individuals who are experiencing scar arrhythmia from open heart surgery ,
I have scarring in my right atrium after 2 open heart surgeries many years ago this has caused me to have re-entrant tachycardia. I was wondering if anyone shares a similar story?

Nerve block experience?
After two surgeries post wrist laceration due to tendon damage I have severe unrelenting pain in my dominant right palm, wrist and sometimes in upper arm for almost a year. So far medications has done very little. Diagnosis is of possible CRPS or median nerve damage in post surgical scar tissue. Trip

eGFR lower on Apixaban
Worrying a bit here.... Has anyone had a reducing eGFR level on apixaban? I know that this blood test is to see how my kidney function is whilst on apixaban. Before apixaban it was 73, after 4 weeks on it, the eFGR level has dropped to 62. I will be so disappointed if I have to change anti-coagulant,
