The last week I have been short of breath. And everyday has gotten worse. Today I couldn’t walk to the bathroom without huffing & puffing. Along with it, the second I stood up my heart rate would blast off. Kept sitting down. Was on my way to my sons meeting and had to pull over & call 911, my heart was beating out of my chest, felt like a heart attack. I know it was a severe SVT episode. I held my breath, like the docs tell me to, to get myself out of svt. By the time the ambulance got to me, my HR was down to 130 & ekg was nsr, but I could barely walk I was so out of it. The hospital gave me fluids that made my HR & shortness of breath better. But then 2 hours both symptoms came back in full force. Along with my heart feeling crampy spratically.
My oxygen stats stay between 96%-100%. But this shortness of breath is debilitating, it feels like something is sitting on my chest.
I am waiting to be scheduled for an Ablation, but I can’t live like this, I can barely walk around the house. I’m just wondering if there’s something else going on.

So sorry to hear how you're suffering. I was the same once and had difficulty walking from one room to another, just like you, so know just how awful it is. I think it's important to rest and build up your energy levels again if you can. I discovered that I had an under-active thyroid too, have you had yours checked?
Did you have your blood tested for a heart attack when you were at the hospital. I don't like to hear that you are having the feeling like something is sitting on your chest, please call an ambulance if you feel the need. Did you explain that heavy feeling when you were at the hospital?
Yes they did the Troponin blood work for heart attack and came back normal. And they checked my Thyroid back in February and was normal.
Yes I kept telling them about the chest pressure & everything else, but kept repeating about the chest pressure. The 4 times I have been to the ER this last week, they’ve only done the same tests every time. I’m thinking they should look out of the box and try testing me for other things. And 3 of the ER visits they didn’t have me monitored by ekg during my stay. Just when I got there. I don’t think they understand how svt comes and goes.
Wow, that must be worrying - I can’t offer any further advice but just hope you get to the bottom of it. A change like that needs looking at beyond the immediate risk. You are doing the right thing - be persistent, eat well, and try to manage your underlying stress levels as best you can. Good luck 🤗
Yes, agreed be persistent. I get like that when I have a virus or another medical.complaint going on, like low iron. I asked the GP for a well woman set of blood tests and that showed the low iron, haven't had trouble since it was fixed. It got so.bad that from bed to toilet I would race up. I have SVT and IST, so when they put each on me looked like IST but that was SVT had passed. The repetitive nature you have was when I was sick with infection elsewhere in the body. Just keep going back Dr's, it took several goes for me to be diagnosed and treated correctly. Just remember you are not alone, and keep seeking help. Best wishes
