Cardiac Arrhythmia

Lately I have been having some issues with my heart. I am unsure if it is "normal" to be experiencing these issues. I could be sitting calmly and I can feel my heart beating as if it will pop out of my chest. when doing any form of heavy lifting I can feel my heart rate increase to the point where I am having chest pains and palpitations. My doctor and I have had discussions but he is not seeing as it issue as I am. Is this normal or should I seek a different medical professional.

I would seek another opinion and get some tests done. It is a sweeping statement to say things are normal if you have not been tested.

Hello there! I too felt like my heart was beating out of my chest at odd times. I talked to my doctor about what was happening and I'm glad he listened. I would have bloodwork, a stress test, an echocardiogram, and a heart holter monitor just to be safe. Those tests will be able to tell you if anything is out of the ordinary. I would seek a second opinion or ask about those tests. Hope you feel better!

I would chase for cardiac tests. You know it doesn't feel normal to you so needs checking out. Perhaps go and see another GP at your practice or see the original one and say you aren't comfortable to leave the issue and want further investigations. We only have one heart and need to ensure its working properly. Best wishes.

I agree with the others. It may be nothing to worry about but I would seek a seek further tests; particularly since it is clearly causing you concern. I’d stop any heavy lifting if it causes pain - “listen to your body”.

I would see a cardiologist or second opinion, just to be sure
