My first cycle not going to plan
Since starting ICSI I feel like I'm on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I over produced follicles so after egg collection any embryo's were being frozen and they giving my body a rest due to being high risk of OHSS. They then put me on a 2 week course of blood thinning injections. The Saturday after

Fresh or Frozen Transfer - first cycle?
We’ve just picked up our drugs for our first cycle. We’ve been given the option of a fresh transfer OR freezing with PGS testing. I have just turned 41, high AMH (pcos) but no other issues. We are doing short protocol with ICSI. Our doctor has advised there is no real difference in success rates fresh

DNA fragment
Hi all, has anyone or their partners had a dna fragment done and what is your understanding off this? I know if it is a high % then you have icsi cycle. Our consultant said the reason it is high is due to "environmental factors" again not sure what that even means Has anyone here had this is and what

High sperm fragmentation - conflicting advice. Can anyone help?
To my dearest fertility friends, Yet again, I have been trying to make sense of conflicting information from different embryologists about a fertility issue. It seems that - sadly - in our world, there is never a definitive or right answer! Can anyone help me with information about sperm fragmentation

HCG injections
I have read in a few places that HCG injections may be harmful if one has too many cycles. As far as I understand the hCG injection is essential to bring the eggs to the correct stage of maturation before egg collection. Does anyone know what would happen if ICSI or IVF happened without the HCG injections

Hi everyone, just on our way back from EC and managed to get 11 eggs. I am happy with that result and hubby’s sample is good enough for icsi, so can relax for now as this hurdle is over & just going home to relax but absolutely dreading the call tomorrow 😬but for now I’m happy 👌🏻💞☀️ Anyone else had

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here. Second time going through ICSI. First round was BFN. I had my ET on Saturday at day 3 for my embryos. Obviously I don’t want to get my hopes up too high, but after talking to the embryologist this morning (my other two embryos haven’t made it to freezing

Icsi or Ivf
Hey, does anyone have any recommendations for one over the other? My wife and I are being recommended icsi as we will be using frozen sperm and apparently frozen sperm doesnt have the same motility as fresh. We were wondering if anyone had used a higher graded motility sperm and if this made a difference

Info and advice on DHEA
I need some advice on DHEA and whether this is a good idea to take and whether there are any side effects? Also can the fertility clinic refuse to start your treatments if you are taking this? One of the consultants at my clinic is against this medication but another is really for it. Unfortunately I

Short cycle ICSI - typical medication costs
Hi We are hoping to start our second IVF cycle at guys hospital next month - it will be our first privately funded cycle. We were hoping to get an idea of how much medication costs would be but they haven’t been able to give us an indication. Would anyone be willing to share approximate costs - I know

First FET cycle underway
After having to do a freeze all on our 1st ICSI back in February/March we've finally started our 1st FET. Mixed emotions at the minute, don't want to get too overexcited incase something happens and we don't get to implantation this time either 🤞🤞
