Aww that’s amaze?! How many rounds of icsi did you have!? I just keep thinking I’m too old, and it’s not going to work, because of my age xx

You can read my story on my previous posts, but you’re definitely not too old!

Your definitely not too old Hun,! I remember thinking I was over the hill but had my little boy a month before I turned 42. Wishing you all the best. xx

Thank you so much! It’s good to see it’s not just me thinking like that!? I’m not 40 till Thursday but it still worries me xx

I won't lie, I felt really worried & didn't hold out much hope of it working to be honest. The thing is, some of us are the lucky ones who have success & I hope you are one of them. xx

I had my second round of ivf at 39 when my son born from my first round was 15 months old. I had my second son as a result when I was 40 years plus 3 months. I know if it hadnt been successful I wouldn’t have done it again, I would have just counted my blessings that I had one beautiful boy, but feel so lucky that I now have them both. It can work, but maybe worth being guided by what your consultant thinks are your individual chances of success. Good luck x

I had my little boy 7weeks ago, conceived through icsi and I’m 39. Don’t give it hope, keep positive and try and not get stressed (easier said than done tho!) 🤞🏻 xx

I feel age is just a number it all depends on how you respond to the drugs and egg quality. You can be 35 and respond badly or 42 and respond great! Go with what your consultant says that’s individual to you 😊. Me personally bad responder at 37 in fact bloody terrible! (Only got 1 egg and didn’t fertilise) So went onto DE and was the best decision for us we got our baby boy 😍

This is what I feel!

I’ve been told I’m ‘not old for ivf or motherhood anymore’ at 42 and have every chance of having a child that way - good luck x

I don’t have a success story (yet!) but wanted to chip in. I turned 40 in April and was really stressing about this. My acupuncturist said to me “your fertility doesn’t suddenly decline the day you turn 40 so don’t worry about it”. Once I turned 40 I felt less stressed about it and am just getting on with it. My husband turns 40 in Nov and is currently in the stressed “I’m too old” stage. Honestly it’s natural to worry but there’s no need.

My sister had her second child naturally at aged 41 so that gives me hope.

The final thing that helped me was my nhs consultant said that my response to drugs was excellent, I thought he meant for my age but when asked he said “if you were 24 the results would still be excellent”. I was over the moon.

We are now embarking on our 2nd cycle (1st with our new private clinic) and I’m just focusing on staying healthy mentally and physically.

Sending lots of good luck and I understand why you are worried, but please don’t x

I am 45 and am currently 18 weeks pregnant. It was my second round of IVF - FIRST one ended in a chemical pregnancy. I used my own eggs. Bloody good luck. You can do this.

I am almost 40 and got my bfp after second ICSI attempt (1 frozen embryo was transferred). First fresh embryo transfer ended with bfn. There are many women who got their babies via ICSI or IVF and who are 40+. Don't panic and don't be afraid, you have good chances to give birth to a healthy baby. Don't lose your hope! Baby dust!

I am 39, did my first ivf cycle in February and a fresh transfer. Got 5 follicles (& eggs; I only have 1 ovary), 2 5-day blastocysts, 1 transferred and I am now 27 weeks pregnant. Will be 40 when the baby will be born. Good luck!

I did ICSI - I was so, so fortunate - our first attempt worked! I found out I was expecting our beautiful little girl on my 40th birthday! xx

I am 39 soon and just saw the consultant she said that your fertility doesn't suddenly go over a cliff at 40 so not to get hung up on age. What matters is being able to extract good quality eggs. With me despite my age they got 18 eggs, 11 of which were high enough quality to fertilise and ended up with 4 blastocysts. No luck yet on getting pregnant but they have said I have as good a chance as anyone. Good luck with it all. It's been lovely reading all the messages from people who have been successful at around 40.

Hi Blondiexx! I’m 42 and just starting my 3rd round of stims... they were happy to take my money and reminded me I have possibly lower chances than that of some younger people but that they can’t see why I don’t stand a good chance due to being fit and healthy! So like you I get to be positive 💕 good luck xx
