Not a question, more a sharing
Went to the Royal Free, Hampstead for scheduled appointment for PMR yesterday. I'm now nearly a year in from the initial diagnosis. Head of this department I originally saw privately. He gave me an injection of Depo-Medrone 120mg to see if my symptoms went away as a diagnostic tool. They did. Couldn't

Depo provera injection.
I had my first depo provera injection on 5th August 2020. It went well but since then I have had a lot of pain around the injection area and it’s very swollen. Is this normal? The pain hasn’t eased at all. I can’t get comfortable. It’s annoying as I have stomach pain anyway doctors believe I have endometriosis

Depo Medrone 120mg IM and Mood
Hi All I had an injection of Depo Medrone almost 4 weeks ago and initially felt great but this week I’ve noticed my mood it all over the place! I’m anxious, sad, tearful, panicy, obsessive about little things. I haven’t felt this way prior to the treatment and I haven’t had any significant changes in

IM steroid injection - when will it start working?
I recently got the IM depo medrone steroid injection into my left thigh to help with inflammation and pain for my possible RA. I would love to hear other people's experiences of it and the effects. It's been six days since I've had the injection, I've definitely noticed less stiffness and a bit less

Does depo provera contraception injection actually help with someone who has endometriosis/ helping pain?
I have been struggling with constant pain in my stomach and feeling nauseous for the past year every single day all day. My Gp’s at my doctors surgery haven’t helped me at all, they have only been doing the same two tests ( blood tests and ultrasounds) which both came up with nothing. After a whole year

Depo Provera
Good morning, I was simply wondering if I could ask others experience of Depo Provera injections? It’s my last option before another surgery to hopefully reduce my ongoing pain. What side effects are commonly experienced? Thank you so very kindly! E x

Methotrexate, steroids, COVID-19
Hi all, I'm UCTD, and for about five years, I've been a full dose (2 x daily) of hydroxychloroquine. I've been having a flair more or less since lock-down started. Normally when this happens, I get a Depo-Medrone injection (methylprednisolonen), which settles me down anywhere from a few months to a couple

Update on me and who I am: My name is Courtney and I am currently 18 years old, I made a decision a few years ago to keep myself protected, and that decision was to go on the Depo-Provera contraceptive injection and I’ll tell you what it worked, really well. I was protected for the entire time I was

Switching from Depo-Provera to Progestogen only pill
Hi, I'm new here and I need help. Recently, I've been put on the POP as I am unable to see my nurse for my injection until this pandemic is over. What is the likelihood of getting pregnant while on the pill? Thank you

Low Calcium & Testosterone from Depo Provera shot?
Hello, I've been on the Depo Provera shot for over a year to control my Endometriosis and Migraines. I recently had a private blood test by Blue Horizon and it shows I have low Calcium and really low Testosterone. I've spoken to a digital GP who advised low Testosterone is one of the side effects

Anyone having injections of Depo-Medrone instead of taking prednisolone orally to manage symptoms of PMR?
Anyone having injections of depo-Medrone instead of taking prednisolone by mouth for PMR symptoms? If so, do you prefer this method? How does it work?

Bruising
I have found 3 bruises ( 2 large) have appeared in the last 3 days without any recollection of any accident. I am on Hydroxychloroquine and Benepali. I did have an issue with easy bruising ( and very slow healing) which started when I had a depo medrone jab. It continued for the 6 months I was on Methotrexate

Has anyone out there developed eczema out of the blue while dealing with PMR?
My second depo-medrone injection was Wednesday. Thursday morning I woke with a very itchy back, so bad I went straight to my GP. GP looked and said I had eczema. I have never had any skin conditions in all my long life. One more unbearable burden to deal with in an unbearable situation. Quite depressed

Experiences of Depo-Provera? Prostrap injections and HRT?
Hi. I had my 1st lap around 3 months ago. Was diagnosed with moderate endo. Was treated during the lap but it's not helped my pain at all. I'm on the combined pill which has helped but I can only bi cycle due to breakthrough bleeding etc. Surgeon said that it may be worth me trying prostap injections

Contraception making endo worse?
Hello everyone, I'm currently in the middle of a horrible flare up which is making me feel awful. I'm trying to track flares ups (what triggers it, how long etc) and I'm a bit stumped as I couldn't think what caused it this time. Then it occurred to me that I had my second depo provera injection this

Steroid injection didn’t work :(
Hi I put a post on the other day about comments on Tocilizimubab as I hope to start in the next few weeks .. in the meantime Friday I had a steroid injection as I’m in so much pain but I’ve had no relief . It was a depo medrone in the bottom , has anyone else had a failed steroid injection or is it

Depo-Medrone injections
Does anyone have advice on the best way to taper down Depo-Medrone injections. Since last February I have been on 120mg starting on once a month, then every 5 weeks, this time it is 6 weeks and I am longing for it. Should I be cutting back quantity rather than time between injections. I go to my GP
