Had my operation, to remove my cancer, about a month ago, it went really well, had my stoma bag fitted, and can be reversed in about three months time, anybody worrying about having a bag fitted you will be fine,, they are small and fits under your clothes easy, there are different bags you can get,

Looking for Help!
I’m not sure where to post this information, but thought that I would start here to try and gain a better understanding of what is happening to me and to seek answers and, hopefully, advice and help, to some troublesome problems. Nearly six years ago, at the age of 71, I was diagnosed with two cancers

Update
Hi Everyone As promised we have a further update. Hubby has finally got a date for his stoma reversal op which is the 16th October. Between Dr Schuh and Oliver Jones they have discussed the concerns of operation vs steroids and as hubby finishes steroids in 2 weeks time they think this should give enough

Bowel issues
Hi ladies, I'm in need of some advice or comforting words. I have had 2 scopes in the past week, there were question marks after the first one. Consultant has confirmed that cancer has spread to bowel and now they cannot offer me radiotherapy as was suggested a few weeks back. I'm devastated and hope

Post surgery fertility blues!
So I had my 3rd surgery in July I awoken to find they had to perform a laparotomy, bowel resection and stoma, and stents in kidney tubes. So I'm just about recovered physically I only had this procedure as an attempt to conceive naturally to be told in hospital that it wouldn't be possibly due to scar

Afternoon everyone. Hubby was at Dermatology yesterday to have an MOHS procedure. Appt was at 8.30, we left 11 hours later. The BCC on his ear took 6 specimens before it finally came back clear. The BCC had spread further on his ear and in the words of the doctor doing the procedure. 'It took them

Endometriosis or Colon cancer??
Hi Everyone, I asked for a CA125 blood test because I had bloating, constipation and pelvic discomfort on the left side, but NO Pain. It was 134. The ultrasound was all normal, I had repeated the CA125 two more times, and it is still climbing up, it was 158 last month. My gynaecologist ordered an MRI

Ups and downs ......
Well chemo 3 has been done. I've been back in hospital twice with decreased urine output. Currently believe it to be a UTI. I went back to consultant yesterday as stomach swollen and painful as well. They think it is a combination of chemo/Cancer and the stoma operation along with as cities but not

Decisions - huge op or not 😨
Morning ladies Had appt last Wednesday and after 2.5 hours of waiting saw a gynae onc surgeon unexpectedly instead of my consultant which is who I was expecting to see. As you can imagine that was a shock in itself before I heard what she had to say. As I have low grade serous and have not long finished

Latest update on my sister
My sister is still in hospital following her caecostomy, sepsis etc. She developed fistulas which have complicated her surgical recovery. The stoma works occasionally but sometimes the fistulas let the bowel contents out. The stoma nurses have been brilliant trialling different wound management bags.

What next after surgery?
I have recently had excision surgery for stage 4 endometriosis, which went very well. Avoided stoma bag and any major complications. We had previously been TTC and have been told we may need IVF however surgery can increase our chances. We was asked if i wanted to do a course of decapeptyl next, what

Anyone have any idea what's next?
My sister had a bowel perforation following neutropenic sepsis and she's managed to pull through but has a permanent stoma. She's still in hospital 10 days post surgery but the perforated part of the bowel which was repaired is still leaking and the doctors have told her twice now that there are no more

Hi all, it's been a while and there has been the most amazing progress that I have not dared to believe possible but my mum has had surgery!!! It was the most dramatic of weeks thus far when we went for her normal appointment with her consultant prior to chemo cycle #4 and he was concerned as he could
