I guess there are times when you feel like you're ok with it and then times when you feel like you don't understand how you feel or what's happeneing. Today, well the last few days have felt a bit like that. So I'm hoping for some

Not sure what's going on
Morning everyone Hubby had his transfusion on the 18th July, he was given 2 units instead of the 3 possibly 4 as first told. He says he feels better i.e. able to walk without feeling whacked. The problem I have is, he is looking yellow and his whites of his eyes are yellow indicating jaundice. Obviously

Bowel perforation
My sister had another setback on Tuesday when with increasing pain and bloating she suffered a bowel perforation. The surgeons felt she could withstand surgery and took her down at midnight after giving her the choice on whether to have the surgery or allow nature to take its course. My sister opted

Chemo 2
I went for my second chemo treatment on the 6 July and all went well. All was okay until the dreaded day 4 and the stomach gripes started again only this time they didn't let up and I felt rubbish. By day 7 , I had an elevated temperature of 38.6 so off we went to a & e. Well to cut a long story short

Colostomy since birth
Hi all, New to this site. Sharing My story. Born with cloacal extrophy in 1968. Colostomy @ 2 hours old and illeal conduit at age 2. I usually get along just fine with ostomies. No social problems, and never held back by them, just rerouted plumbing to me. I know nothing different. My biggest difficulties

Now have my plan but I'm so scared!
Hi lovely ladies saw the surgeon yesterday and went through what may need to happen and was told I may end up with a stoma and then will need carbo and taxol about 8 weeks after surgery. Date for surgery is 20th July, which I was so disappointed at as I'm really uncomfortable with ascites that seems

Quick update
As I previously posted, hubby is due a stoma reversal on the 25th July. We had a phone call yesterday from the CLL Clinical Nurse stating that colorectal team have requested that he has a blood transfusion before the op. He is having this on the 18th July, they expect him to have at least 4 units.

Hubby is doing ok, saw Dr Shuh on the 15th June ......she is a very hard person to read. There was good and bad news though. Good news his WBC is down to 70 went up to 246, no longer

1st relapse low grade ovarian 3c - do I do LOGS trial or try letrozole?
I only finished first line chemo in Jan with a summary that I was stable with no visible disease and ca125 of 8. Now my ca 125 has risen 3x from 15 to 29 and 42 and there is signs of active disease on my CT scan in peritoneum and outside the bowel in my pelvis. Onc wants me screened for the Mek inhibitors

Sigmoid resection
Hi all, I have had had 2 laps in the past 3 years to confirm endo in my bowel (sigmoid, a 3cm patch that is full thickness of the bowel wall). My consultant has advised surgery, a resection of that part of the bowel, they hope to anastomise it. The weird thing is that I do not have endo anywhere else

I got those the years before dx and took them with

Soma
and some other meds once I got my dx, but not the Norc. Early last year my dr took me off Norco it was hard.

Stoma and wound.
Hi! I had an ileostomy about five months ago and was left with a large serious wound near the stoma adding to problems when infection developed. Now I have a viscious pain just above the wound. I see two separate groups one is nursing staff that change and check my wound and the other is the stoma nurse
