confused about thyroid and adrenal treatment
OK, I feel totally confused now: I was diagnosed, in January 2012, with adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism (after being on thyroxine for 10 years), low estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, pregnenolone, and growth hormone levels. My new doctor switched me from thyroxine (200 mcg daily)

Interesting Treatments
I have been on this forum for a couple of months, and learned quickly that this is based in the UK. I'm over here in the States and can't help but notice all of the different treatments that people post about! I was diagnosed at the age of 7 back in 1980, but have had symptoms since birth. I have

what is the difference between oral steroids and a steroid injection?
I had an intramuscular depo medrone injection but didn't seem to get the same result as when I get oral steroids. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two and why so I seem to get a better result for tennis elbow/hip bursitis from the oral steroids? Advice would really be appreciated

Should have gotten up at six thirty as I did not hurt, tramadol still working. Instead stayed stubbornly put till ten thirty by which time dog

Best Wishes for a Happy, Blessed Christmas, from Across the Waves!
To all my dear friends over there, on this site: You have all been such awesome, strong, helpful and compassionate people to each other. I have come to believe the very existence of RA and the other inflammatory diseases, actually affects the brain by stimulating the very compassion that is exhibited

I think I am paying the price for the night out last night!
Went to a friend's 60th birthday party last night and was dancing the night away until midnight - not late by most people's standards I suppose, but late for me! Was beginning to have aches in arms and legs by the end and woke with various joint pains this morning! The pains were coming back anyway -

Steroid injection doesn't seem to have kicked in!
Hi, I got a Depo-Medrone injection over a week ago but it doesn't seem to have kicked in. Still in a lot of pain. I am on Methtrexate 17.5 mg. Saw the rheumy nurse last week who gave me the injection and said that the rheumatologist should review my medicines. My appointment with the rheumatologist

Hysterectomy done now the HRT decision
So after many sleepless nights due to the pain of endo & the worry I finally had my hysterectomy last wednesday, including removal of my ovaries & tubes. I must admitt I am in nowhere near as much pain as i thought i would be & i am feeling more positive & optemistic than i have done in years so hopefully

Does anyone have Autoimmune Hepatitis in addition to RA?
I have had to come off Mxt due to rising liver enzymes, but it looks like that might be a red herring. My liver enzymes were only slightly raised until 7 weeks after stopping the Mxt when they went through the roof! The docs were insisting that the drug was responsible, but they are now querying AIH

Life as it has been for me since I can remember.
My name is Jenn Gallegos. I am trying to find out if it would be worth my time and money to travel in order to see a specialist for Antiphospholiipid Syndrome. I would like to provide some background information about me and how these antibodies have completely brought my life to a sudden halt.

Finally back home- Went to the asthma doctor today-Yeah Steroids!
Hi there, So I lived through my move from NC to NJ (I'm in the States). Right now I'm staying with a friend for the month, and just went on three job interviews. After having asthma issues for about 6 weeks, I'm now doing O.K. I've used my rescue inhaler a lot in the last week though, so when I saw
