Hi, I just had my cortisol retested to see if there had been any improvement from February 2023.
Since August 2023, I have been slowly titrating NDT Armour and taking vitamins, minerals and amino acids prescribed by a private thyroid Dr. My iron & B12 are good, working on increasing vit D.
I'm still tired/fatigued in the afternoon but since the last increase I am sleeping 7-9hour overnight, incredible. I generally feel much brighter than I did, more myself, and I'm due another Armour increase soon.
Answer is no, almost identical cortisol results, though DHEA has gone up a lot to almost within range.
Interestingly, I DID take my NDT morning dose normally before the 8am test and there's no difference to the morning result.
Any insights to be gained from comparing these tests?

You are definitely having some improvements, I wouldn't focus right now on salivary cortisol if you're still titrating Armour. My experience was that on thyroid med increases my cortisol increased as well. The most important information here is, your results arent dipping after Armour, that's very good. DHEA going up is a great sign too
I agree if you are feeling better than you did, it stands to reason you must be improving 😊👍.
It is incredible how similar your results have remained but I guess you're still optimising thyroid meds so there's lots more scope for whole improvement.
As a side note it took my cortisol and DHEA saliva tests results years to raise, and I remained in a vulnerable position because feeling better invites the temptation to do too much (energy wise) and invite a crash (days after feeling horrid).
I would say carry on being gentle on yourself, allowing all systems to improve together, and enjoy the journey. Armour obviously suits you. I like it also.
