Has anyone had issues with balance getting worse on Azilect?
My mom just started Azilect. She has been taking sinemet since January 2017. She takes 4 pills a day (25/100). She is on day 7 and says she feels like she will fall and her legs feel rubbery. I made an appointment for this Wednesday with neuro to discuss but feel she needs to stick this out. Her

Had to fall back on Rx Sinemet for 2days&Mental focus poor
My shipment of natural sourced levodopa was a couple days later coming in than I anticipated and I had to fall back into using synthetic carbidopa/levodopa. I drove to a restaurant and place an order and then realized I didn’t have my wallet . I walked out to the car didn’t have keys in my pocket .

Changing meds
Have been on ropinirole hcl 2mg for at least 5 years. Not working anymore.....I've been dealing with the increased frequency of "bad nights" but after a recent total hip replacement I'm done! Got back to my room about 11 am and around 4 pm the "feelings" began and unfortunately it was in the left leg

Trials
Since 2012 I continuously tried various approaches and gauged or judged the benefit: sinemet, coconut oil, amantadine, keto diet, Neupro patches, mucuna, plus other park drug's name I cannot recall. This list could be longer. In all I never experienced placebo effect nor notable improvement. Thiamin

PROBLEMS WITH FREEZING
I'm 78 years old and was diagnosed with PD 6 years ago. Freezing has been the main symptom I've dealt with and now It's to the point now where I can't move unless I take weight off one side by putting pressure on my walker. That gets me going but it's very hard on my shoulders because I have to continue

Pharmacy errors - given wrong medication.
Yesterday went to pick up my
sinemet
CR
at the pharmacy. Stayed in the car, my husband went to get it. When I called in the prescription I asked for three months refill. It felt really light so I decided to take a look at it, I'm glad I did.

Shortness of breath in PD “respiratory dyskinesia”
Shortness of breath can have many causes, but someone with Parkinson’s disease has an unusual possibility, called “respiratory dyskinesia” (which just means “abnormal movement of the muscles of breathing”). This is an involuntary rapid breathing that causes distress, and it usually happens an hour after

Relationship Between Levodopa and Dyskinesias and How Thiamine Can Help
I think the main concern for everybody with PD is to know the truth about relationship between long-term use of Levodopa and Dyskinesias and how Thiamine protocol can help. Dr Costantini has told me that people who are taking Sinemet with Thiamine WILL NOT develop Dyskinesia even in long-term use. I

Post DBS Surgery
It has now been five months since my DBS surgery. My brain is healing, the proof of which is that I am again reducing my meds. It is a balancing act - I increase what the Medtronic device is providing and decrease meds. My meds at this time are 1 extended release 25/100 sinemet and 1/4 regular relelase

Meds not working after starting taking at bedtime
My sinemet worked fine for quite a while but I was having trouble sleeping due to stiffness so I began to take
sinemet
CR
200/50 at bedtime. Once I started doing this my meds during the day dropped off. They used to work for 4-5 hours each dose but now they only work for 2 hours each dose.

Travelling issue
Hi PWP I am an Australian travelling at present in the USA and sent some baggage to my next destination. I will not get there for another week. I realised that I sent my Madopar 250 (3 x daily) with the baggage by mistake. I organised an MD visit and there is no Madopar in the USA. I have been given
