Since 2012 I continuously tried various approaches and gauged or judged the benefit: sinemet, coconut oil, amantadine, keto diet, Neupro patches, mucuna, plus other park drug's name I cannot recall. This list could be longer. In all I never experienced placebo effect nor notable improvement. Thiamin HCI is sent from heaven by the grace of Doc Costantini.

I have my own such list, and I have to agree - I have tried my fair share of things that made no difference. It seems extremely unlikely that the placebo effect would apply only to one particular treatment.
The placebo effect is triggered by mental expectations. Yet I believe that RoyProp--perhaps the first to try the high-dose thiamine in this group--was taken by surprise when it turned out to relieve his constipation. If true, this is unlike the placebo effect.
I started on thiamine because Roy said it helped his constipation. While I was waiting for a change in that area, one day I realized that I had so much more energy. I wasn't expecting that result. I still have some constipation issues but maybe that will change later.
I don't believe that would qualify for a placebo effect.
I have been out of the loop for several months and missed the whole Thiamin issue. So what do you take and is it from Life Extension? I will only take that brand of supplements.
